মুম্বই: নরেন্দ্র মোদী সরকার ফেলে দিতে মাওবাদীরা ছক কষছে বলে দাবি করে ৫ বাম বিদ্বজ্জনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে মহারাষ্ট্র পুলিশ। পুলিশের অভিযোগ, এই বিদ্বজ্জনেরা মাওবাদীদের সঙ্গে যুক্ত। কিন্তু এই অভিযোগ উড়িয়ে দিয়েছে এনডিএ-র অন্যতম দল শিবসেনা। বিজেপির সবথেকে পুরনো সঙ্গী ও অধুনা বিক্ষুব্ধ শিবসেনা বলেছে, মাওবাদীদের হাতে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর জীবন বিপন্ন বলে পুলিশ যে দাবি করেছে তা ষড়যন্ত্রমূলক তত্ত্ব ছাড়া কিছু নয়। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা যথেষ্ট ভাল, তা নিয়ে খামোখা উদ্বিগ্ন হওয়া নিষ্প্রয়োজন। প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী ইন্দিরা গাঁধী ও রাজীব গাঁধীর মধ্যে ঝুঁকি নেওয়ার প্রবণতা ছিল, যার ফলে প্রাণ হারান তাঁরা। কিন্তু নরেন্দ্র মোদী এমন ঝুঁকি কখনওই নেবেন না। দলীয় মুখপত্র সামনার সম্পাদকীয়তে তারা লিখেছে, রাজ্য সরকার যে বলছে, এই মাওবাদীরা কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারকে ফেলে দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছে তা একেবারেই বুদ্ধিহীনতার পরিচায়ক। মনমোহন সিংহের সরকারকে দেশের মানুষই ফেলে দিয়েছিল, মাওবাদী নকশালরা নয়। সাম্প্রতিক কালে শুধু গণতান্ত্রিক প্রক্রিয়াতেই সরকারে পরিবর্তন হয়েছে বলে মন্তব্য করেছে তারা। শিবসেনা আরও বলেছে, যদি মাওবাদীদের সরকার ফেলে দেওয়ার মত ক্ষমতা থাকত, তবে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ, ত্রিপুরা বা মণিপুরে তাদের ক্ষমতা থেকে সরে যেতে হত না। তাই পুলিশের উচিত কোনও কিছু দাবি করার আগে আরও সতর্ক হওয়া না হলে বিজেপি ও মোদী আবার উপহাসের পাত্র হবেন। একই সঙ্গে যাঁরা এই পাঁচ বিদ্বজ্জনকে গ্রেফতার করার জন্য পুলিশের সমালোচনা করেছেন, তাঁদেরও আক্রমণ করেছে উদ্ধব ঠাকরের দল। তাদের মন্তব্য, ছত্তিশগড়, তেলঙ্গানা, অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশ, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ও ওড়িশার প্রত্যন্ত সব এলাকায় সক্রিয় আরবান নকশালরা মাওবাদীদের কাজকর্মের তাত্ত্বিক ব্যাখ্যা যোগাচ্ছে। এই সব জায়গায় মাওবাদীরা সমান্তরাল সরকার চালায়, বহু মানুষ, সরকারি কর্মী এমনকী কংগ্রেস নেতা বিদ্যাচরণ শুক্লও তাদের শিকার হয়েছেন। ভীমা-কোরেগাঁও হিংসায় এরাই উসকানি দিয়েছে, এরা চায় প্রতিটি রাজ্যে অশান্তি শুরু হোক, গণতন্ত্র নিয়ে এদের কোনও মাথাব্যথা নেই। এদের চিন্তাভাবনাই হিংস্র বলে শিবসেনা মন্তব্য করেছে। গ্রেফতার হওয়া পাঁচ বিদ্বজ্জন ভারভারা রাও, অরুণ ফেরেরা, সুধা ভরদ্বাজ, গৌতম নাভলাখা ও ভার্নন গঞ্জালভেসের নাম করে সামনা বলেছে, এঁদের জীবনযাত্রার মান খুবই উঁচু। মাও সে তুং চিনের মানুষ, সেখানে যে সরকার ফেলার চেষ্টা করে, তাকে জেলে পুরে দেওয়া হয় বা স্রেফ নিখোঁজ করে দেওয়া হয়। অথচ এ দেশে কংগ্রেস-এনসিপি, দলিত নেতা-সপা সকলে সমর্থন করে এঁদের। যদি এঁদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে খুনের ষড়যন্ত্রের অভিযোগ থাকে, তবে কী করে এঁরা সমর্থনযোগ্য সেই প্রশ্ন তুলেছে তারা।

যোধপুর: ফের দুর্ঘটনায় বায়ুসেনার মিগ ২৭ যুদ্ধবিমান। আজ সকালে রুটিন সফরের সময় যোধপুরের বানাদ এলাকায় একটি ক্ষেতে ভেঙে পড়ে বিমানটি। তবে কোনও প্রাণহানি ঘটেনি, দুর্ঘটনার আগেই বিমান ছেড়ে নিরাপদে অবতরণ করেন পাইলট। এক আসনের মিগ ২৭ বিমানটি রাশিয়ায় তৈরি, যোধপুর বায়ুসেনা ছাউনি থেকে উড়ান শুরুর কয়েক মিনিটের মধ্যে ভেঙে পড়ে সেটি। কীভাবে এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটল জানতে তদন্ত হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রকের মুখপাত্র কর্নেল সুবীর ঘোষ। পাইলটকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে। পুলিশ বলেছে, এই ঘটনায় কোনও প্রাণ বা সম্পত্তিহানি ঘটেনি। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানিয়েছেন, তাঁরা দেখেন, দুটি যুদ্ধবিমান এক সঙ্গে উড়ছে কিন্তু একটি আচমকা মাঠের দিকে নেমে আসে ও বানাদের দেবালিয়া গ্রামের কাছে হুড়মুড়িয়ে ভেঙে পড়ে।

Last week Xiaomi showed off a render of the upcoming Mi Mix 3 flagship that revealed its notch-dodging slider mechanism, and now product management director Donovan Sung has followed up with a photo confirming another feature: 5G support. The phone is set to be launched in October, far earlier than any 5G networks are going to be up and running, but Sung says the company “can’t wait for the official rollout of 5G next year.”

Billy Dee Williams Shares Star Wars: Episode IX Training Video
Aside from a little-known Marvel sequel called Avengers 4, Star Wars: Episode IX is without a doubt the most secretive Hollywood tentpole currently in production.
That hasn’t stopped curious on-lookers from posting set photos from afar though, with a recent batch revealing John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Naomi Ackie’s unnamed character partaking in what appears to be some form of reconnaissance mission for the Resistance, as they begin to mount one final counter-offensive against the invading First Order. There was also another helping of set pics earlier today, which teased a mysterious jungle setting.
But a new post on social media has now drawn our attention away from the set and towards the legendary Billy Dee Williams. Yes, the actor’s set to reprise his iconic role of Lando Calrissian for the final chapter in the Skywalker Saga and to show us that he’s taking the job seriously, he’s now shared a new training video via Twitter, which you can see below.

Sure, there’s nothing particularly revealing about this clip, as again, it’s not taken from the Episode IX set but rather a gym where Williams is training, but it’s nice to get a look at the actor preparing for the project regardless. After all, it’s been a long, long time since we’ve seen his version of the smooth talking Lando up on the big screen.
Of course, we’ve still got no idea how he’ll factor into things, as Lucasfilm is keeping any and all plot details tightly under wraps, but it’s been reported that Abrams will pull from all Star Wars eras – prequels included – as he sets about bringing the curtain down on the Sequel Trilogy, which he’ll do when Episode IX breaks new ground for this most beloved franchise on December 20th, 2019.

New Avengers 4 Theory Says Thanos Thinks Iron Man’s Already Dead
While half the internet seems to be predicting the death of Iron Man in next year’s Avengers 4, a new fan theory suggests that at least one notorious individual assumed Tony Stark would be meeting his end before the credits even rolled on Avengers: Infinity War.
This alleged failed forecaster is none other than the Mad Titan himself, Thanos, and this recent speculation all stems from one little line delivered by the intergalactic conqueror: “I hope they remember you.” When taken out of context, these words could almost be seen as strangely flattering, but when spoken by Thanos at the end of his fight with Iron Man, the connotations are clear that Stark is expected to die soon.
Yet, despite Thanos stabbing the Avenger before erasing half of all life from the universe with the snap of his fingers, Robert Downey Jr.’s character remains standing. Could it be that Thanos incorrectly assumed that Stark would be killed in one of these two events? If so, then perhaps this implies that the element of surprise will play a major role in the upcoming sequel, with Stark managing to take advantage of his supposed death as a means of catching the tyrant off guard.
Granted, this could all be a bit of a stretch. You’d think that if someone as careful as Thanos had really wanted Stark to die from the stab wound, he would’ve properly finished the job before leaving, especially since the subsequent snap left his foe with a 50% chance of survival. Then again, Infinity War co-director Joe Russo’s statements on the film’s audio commentary track strongly support the idea that Thanos was trying to kill Stark in this scene, with the director saying:
“Almost no one ends up being a threat to the agenda except for Tony, who I think feels he has this sort of existential connection to Thanos. It’s the one moment where he is actively…since brutally murdering Loki for disobedience, where he actively is going to murder someone for standing in his way.”
Regardless of what Thanos’ intentions were, it’s a safe bet that Stark will play a major role in the final fight, with Avengers 4 set to bring the saga full circle when it hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
