The ‘Spirit Halloween’ store film is headed to theaters despite all logic
Spirit Halloween is headed to a theater near you! No, that doesn’t mean it will be taking over the spooky old neighborhood multiplex to sell seasonal decorations, costumes, props, and accessories — well, okay, admittedly it probably will do that if the space is available. No, instead of just selling costumes sourced from this year’s movies, Spirit is skipping the middleman and becoming its own self-themed holiday film spectacular.
Nic Cage’s first reaction to ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ was ‘absolute horror’
Picture this. You’re Nicolas Cage, you’re a 58-year-old acting legend whose career is dangerously close to being overshadowed by your legacy as an internet meme. Someone comes to you with a movie pitch that is basically about a version of you who’s losing it at the end of his career. It’s understandable, then, that the real Nicolas Cage’s reaction when he first heard of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was “absolute horror”.
Cage told Variety at the film’s New York premiere that “there was no muscle” in his body that told him he should “play a character named Nick Cage,” but that a letter from director Tom Gormican ultimately changed his mind.

Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ could be pushed to 2023
Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Western crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon might not make a 2022 release date after all, according to film journalist Gregory Ellwood.
This news came as a surprise to the film community, who were expecting a November premiere, as per screenwriter Eric Roth. Back in February, in conversation with IndieWire, Roth seemed sure the movie would be out come the end of the year, saying Scorsese was “well on his way to getting the editing done”. It’s entirely likely this is still happening, but Ellwood’s insight as an industry insider is not to be dismissed.
