নিউ ইয়র্ক: খারাপ আবহাওয়ার কারণে ল্যান্ডিং করা যাচ্ছে না, ফুরিয়ে গিয়েছে তেল। আবার তিনটে ইন্স্ট্রুমেন্ট ল্যান্ডিং সিস্টেম রিসিভারও কাজ করছে না, ফলে বেশিক্ষণ বিমানকে শূন্যে রাখা সম্ভব নয়। এই পরিস্থিতিতে মাথা ঠান্ডা রেখে ৩৭০ জন যাত্রীকে নিরাপদে অবতরণ করালেন এয়ার ইন্ডিয়ার এক পাইলট। নিউ ইয়র্কের জে এফ কেনেডি বিমানবন্দরে এই ঘটনা ঘটেছে। দিল্লি থেকে নিউ ইয়র্ক রওনা দেয় এ-১০১ নামে এয়ার ইন্ডিয়ার বিমানটি। ১১ তারিখ ১৪ ঘণ্টা সফরের পর ল্যান্ডিংয়ের আগে বিমানটিতে প্রযুক্তিগত সমস্যা দেখা দেয়। অথচ আবহাওয়া খারাপ থাকায় ল্যান্ডিং করা যাচ্ছিল না, আকাশে থাকতে থাকতে ফুরিয়ে যায় তেল। এই পরিস্থিতিতে পাইলট মাথা ঠান্ডা রেখে নিউ ইয়র্ক ট্রাফিক কন্ট্রোলে বিষয়টা জানান। বলেন, তেল যেমন নেই, তেমনই তিনটে ইন্স্ট্রুমেন্ট ল্যান্ডিং সিস্টেম রিসিভার খারাপ হয়ে যাওয়ায় বেশিক্ষণ বিমান আকাশে ভাসানো যাবে না। ট্রাফিক কন্ট্রোল তাঁকে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে সাহায্য করার কথা বলে। কিন্তু আবহাওয়া খারাপ থাকায় তারাও বিশেষ কিছু করে উঠতে পারছিল না। পরিস্থিতির গুরুত্ব বুঝে নিউ ইয়র্কেরই অন্য বিমানবন্দরে তারা বিমানটি নামানোর কথা বলে। কিন্তু অন্যত্র যাওয়ার মত তেল বিমানে ছিল না। তখন পাইলট সফলভাবে ম্যানুয়াল ল্যান্ডিং করান। কীভাবে ঘটল এত বড় প্রযুক্তিগত ত্রুটি? এয়ার ইন্ডিয়া কর্তৃপক্ষ এ ব্যাপারে তদন্তের নির্দেশ দিয়েছে।

SpaceX will send Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa to the Moon
This evening, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk revealed that Yusaku Maezawa, a Japanese billionaire and founder of Zozotown, Japan’s largest online clothing retailer, will be the first private customer to ride around the Moon on the company’s future massive rocket, the Big Falcon Rocket (BFR). Maezawa plans to fly on the trip as early as 2023, and he wants to take artists with him to turn the entire ride into an art project called #dearMoon. A website for the mission went live after the announcement.

SpaceX will send Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa to the Moon
This evening, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk revealed that Yusaku Maezawa, a Japanese billionaire and founder of Zozotown, Japan’s largest online clothing retailer, will be the first private customer to ride around the Moon on the company’s future massive rocket, the Big Falcon Rocket (BFR). Maezawa plans to fly on the trip as early as 2023, and he wants to take artists with him to turn the entire ride into an art project called #dearMoon. A website for the mission went live after the announcement.
“Finally, I can tell you that I choose to go to the Moon! I choose to go to the moon with artists!” Maezawa said to announce his trip at a SpaceX event.

Twitter has made a surprise change to how it shows tweets to its users, following a viral thread earlier today that discussed ways to reverse the platform’s algorithmic timeline. Now, when you uncheck the settings box reading “Show the best tweets first,” Twitter will completely revert your timeline to a non-algorithmic, reverse-chronological order, which is how Twitter was originally designed and operated for years until the company introduced a default algorithmic model in early 2016.

Amazon reportedly planning Alexa microwave, subwoofer, and more this year
Amazon is planning to introduce as many as eight new Alexa-powered smart home devices later this year, according to a report from CNBC today. Those devices will be a wide-ranging offering of voice-controlled gadgets: a microwave oven, an in-car gadget of some sort, and a set of higher-end home audio gear, including an amplifier, receiver, and subwoofer. Tenor gets an iOS 12 update to offer in-camera stickers
Tenor, the GIF platform acquired by Google earlier this year, has launched an integration with the iOS 12 camera platform that allows you to search for and add stickers to photos and videos within the Messages app. It’s a lot like an Instagram story or AR stickers from Giphy.
The updated function allows for users to search stickers by keyword or within already-created “expression categories” like “kiss,” “mindblown,” or “hello.” Once found, stickers can be dragged to the live camera view. <strong>ভোপাল:</strong> রোড শো-র মাধ্যমে মধ্যপ্রদেশে বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের প্রচার অভিযান শুরু করলেন কংগ্রেস সভাপতি রাহুল গাঁধী। সদ্যই কৈলাশ মানস সরোবর যাত্রা সেরে ফিরেছেন রাহুল। মধ্যপ্রদেশের রাজধানী ভোপালে এই রোড শো চলাকালে ৪৮ বছরের রাহুলকে ‘শিবভক্ত’ আখ্যা দিয়ে পোস্টার-ব্যানার দেখা গেল। রাহুল গাঁধীর বিরুদ্ধে ‘নরম হিন্দুত্বে’র নীতি অনুসরণের অভিযোগ এর আগেও উঠেছে। এদিন ১১ জন হিন্দু পুরোহিতের আশীর্বাদ গ্রহণের পর রোড শো শুরু করেন তিনি। কড়া নিরাপত্তা বন্দোবস্তের মধ্যে লালঘাটি এলাকায় পৌঁছনোর পর পুরোহিতরা মন্ত্রোচ্চারণের মাধ্যমে রাহুলকে আশীর্বাদ করেন। বাসে চড়ে ১৫ কিলোমিটার রোড শো শুরুর আগে কংগ্রেস সভাপতি পুজোও করেন। রাস্তার দু ধারে রাহুলকে এক ঝলক দেখতে ভিড় জমিয়েছিলেন হাজার হাজার কংগ্রেস কর্মী ও সমর্থক। বাসে রাজ্যের শীর্ষ নেতাদের সঙ্গে ছিলেন রাহুল। বিমানবন্দরের কাছে লালঘাটি থেকে রোড শো শুরু করেন রাহুল। এরপর শহরের পুরানো অংশ অতিক্রম করে তা ভেল দশেরা ময়দানে পৌঁছয়। এ বছরই ছত্তিশগঢ়, রাজস্থান ও মিজোরামের সঙ্গে মধ্যপ্রদেশের বিধানসভা নির্বাচন। গত ১৫ বছর ধরে রাজ্যে ক্ষমতায় রয়েছে বিজেপি। এদিন বিমানবন্দরে রাহুলকে স্বাগত জানাতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মধ্যপ্রদেশে কংগ্রেস সভাপতি কমল নাথ, গুনার সাংসদ জ্যোতিরাদিত্য সিন্ধিয়া এবং অন্যান্য শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দ। বিমানবন্দরের বাইরে দলীয় পতাকা হাতে হাজির ছিলেন কংগ্রেস সমর্থকরা।

<strong>দুবাই:</strong> এশিয়া কাপে ভারতকে হারাতে হলে তিন বিভাগেই সবচেয়ে সেরাটা দিতে হবে পাকিস্তানকে। এমনই মন্তব্য করেছেন পাক অধিনায়ক সরফরাজ আহমেদ। ছয় দেশীয় এই একদিনের টুর্নামেন্টে প্রথম ম্যাচে পাকিস্তান হংকংকে আট উইকেটে হারিয়েছে। টুর্নামেন্টে শুরুটা ইতিবাচক হলেও আগামী বুধবার ভারতের বিরুদ্ধে মহারণের আগে দলের কয়েকটি ক্ষেত্রে উন্নতির প্রয়োজন রয়েছে বলে উল্লেখ করেছেন সরফরাজ। তিনি বলেছেন, অধিনায়ক হিসেবে কয়েকটি ক্ষেত্রে কাজ করার প্রয়োজনীয়তা আমার চোখে পড়েছে। হংকংয়ের বিরুদ্ধে ম্যাচটা নয় বা দশ উইকেটে জেতা উচিত ছিল। একইসঙ্গে নতুন বলে আরও ভালো পারফর্ম করতে হবে। নতুন বলে সুইং হচ্ছে না, এটা আমাদের কাছে সতর্কবার্তা। অনুশীলনে এই বিষয়টি নিয়ে কাজ করতে হবে। ভারতের বিরুদ্ধে তিন বিভাগেই আমাদের সেরাটা দিতে হবে।

GMA Confirms First Captain Marvel Trailer For Early Tomorrow Morning
Ever since EW’s big blowout of photos, plot details and more earlier this month, fans have been expecting a trailer for Captain Marvel to drop, and sure enough, it’ll be here tomorrow.
Star Brie Larson is set to appear on Good Morning America, with her appearance coming towards the end, at around 8:30-9am EST. Presumably, that’s when the footage will be revealed, and though we’ve been hearing about this for a while now, GMA’s finally confirmed it, taking to Twitter to announce the following: TOMORROW ONLY ON @GMA: @brielarson brings us the first full trailer of @captainmarvel, LIVE!
Ever since EW blew the lid off the next MCU release, excitement for Captain Marvel‘s been at an all-time high. And though this first teaser will be just that – a teaser – we’re still giddy with anticipation for our first proper look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most powerful hero in action.
I mean, it’s been some time now since Larson was announced to be playing the role, and with Carol Danvers said to be a key piece of Marvel’s Phase 4, you can be sure that the studio has big, big plans for her going forward. As such, it’s understandable that there’s a considerable amount of buzz surrounding the first footage of the heroine and with any luck, Kevin Feige and co. will also give us a look at the younger versions of Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, who are set to feature in the film as well.
But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. For now, what we can tell you with absolute certainty is that in less than 24 hours, the world will have laid eyes on Captain Marvel in action, and with the first Avengers 4 trailer said to be following close behind (it’s expected to arrive in November), there’s never been a better time to be a fan of the MCU.
