How Neo And Trinity Return In The Matrix 4 Has Reportedly Been Revealed

“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”

While the Renaissance of Keanu Reeves continues to go from strength-to-strength, it’s safe to say that expectations are sky-high for The Matrix 4 to deliver a modern re-interpretation of the Man Vs. Machine theme that the series is so renowned for. Way back in 1999, the original dystopian sci-fi classic completely rocked the cinematic landscape and went on to become one of the most influential action films of all-time. So, no pressure on the fourth installment, then.

With the follow-up officially in active production now, many questions have arisen as to how the sequel will tie into the ending of the third flick, The Matrix Revolutions. Well, thanks to sources close to We Got This Covered – the same ones who revealed that Bill Murray was returning for Ghostbusters 3 and that an Ace Ventura 3 is in development, both of which have since been confirmed – we have some tantalizing intel as to how Neo and Trinity will return in The Matrix 4.

As you may or may not remember, Neo and Trinity both died at the end of The Matrix Revolutions. However, according to our sources, The Matrix 4 will reveal that their brains were uploaded into the Matrix before their death so they’re able to live on in there, which is how they can return in the upcoming sequel. Apparently, Neo uploaded their brains before they died as a backup in case anything happened and when we see them again, they’ll be stuck in the Matrix and looking a lot older.

This indeed fits into the movie’s timeline, too. Theoretically, the upload would’ve probably occurred a little before Neo’s final showdown against the legions of corrupted Agent Smiths, where he ultimately sacrifices himself by allowing Agent Smith to corrupt him. Of course, things can always change in the script over the course of production, but it sounds pretty spot on and given that this intel comes to us from the same sources who also told us a new Scream reboot is in the works, we have no reason to doubt it.

But tell us, are you as stoked as us to see The Matrix 4? Or should Warner Bros. just leave the iconic sci-fi trilogy be? Let us know in the usual place down below.

Fast & Furious 9 Trailer Left Vin Diesel “Speechless”

Christmas came early for Vin Diesel this year. Not only did the celebrated action star make an appearance at The Game Awards with Fast & Furious 9 co-star Michelle Rodriguez, but he also bore witness to the first teaser of the forthcoming film a month before anyone else. And according to Diesel, fans have reason to be excited.

“I just saw [the trailer] yesterday,” the actor announced at The Game Awards. “And I was just telling [Michelle Rodriguez] how blown away she’s going to be and I realized I should probably tell you guys too. It’s just — I was speechless. I literally had to see [director] Justin [Lin] and have dinner with him immediately. I was just speechless. I can’t wait for you guys to see it.”

Though he did not go into any further detail, Diesel’s claims of being left speechless by the trailer alone seem to imply that it contains more than just the usual fare of action and chases. It could just be a good PR line, but knowing Vin Diesel and the series many successes, it seems likely that this comment is that and much more.

The twist may be that Fast & Furious 9 will be the series’ final installment and promise to wrap up its many character arcs for good. Alternatively, the recent success of CGI  renders and touch-ups of real actors in films such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Terminator: Dark Fate and The Irishman may give way to the return of the character Brian O’Connor, previously portrayed by the late Paul Walker, who was absent in the eighth film due to the loss of the young star.

Whatever Fast & Furious 9 trailer did to leave Vin Diesel speechless, it’s sure to mean good things for series fans. For those wanting to see the trailer for themselves, its release date announcement has been slated for December 18th, with the teaser itself promised for January.

J.J. Abrams Teases Ahsoka Tano Cameo In Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

Seeing as it’s the final chapter in the Skywalker saga, fans are going into Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker expecting a few familiar faces from movies past to drop by, just to add to the feeling that it’s wrapping up the whole story. It’s feasible, though, that characters from the wider SW universe could feature, too. Perhaps popular animated faces that folks have been calling out to make a big-screen appearance for ages. Characters like Ahsoka Tano.

While speaking with SoraNews24, director J.J. Abrams was asked who his favorite ever Star Wars character is. The filmmaker responded with Han Solo, but he asked the interviewer the same thing and their’s was Anakin’s Padawan. At this, Abrams gave an exciting but cryptic tease. “Hmmm, Ahsoka, huh?” he said. “Well then you’ll probably want to watch closely during The Rise of Skywalker.”

This comment seems to confirm that there will definitely be something that’ll please Ahsoka fans in Rise, though Abrams’ words are vague enough to leave it open-ended as to whether she actually has a cameo or whether there’s simply some brief easter egg or reference to her. Either way, it should go some way to revealing the character’s future, following where we last saw her in Rebels.

Introduced in The Clone Warsthe Togruta Force user was Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice until she left the Jedi life behind. Surviving Order 66, Ahsoka returned in Rebels to help out the Ghost crew, even doing battle with her former master, now the Sith Lord Darth Vader. The last time we saw her, in a flash-forward set after Return of the Jedi, she was aiding Sabine Wren in locating the missing Ezra Bridger.

How she’ll factor into Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – if at all – remains to be seen, but we’ll find out more when the film hits theaters next weekend.

Avengers: Endgame Fan Spots Captain America Error In Final Battle

While Avengers: Endgame was a big hit with fans and critics alike, it should come as no surprise that some of its finer plot points were subjected to criticism and debate. Considering the movie dealt heavily with time travel, this isn’t unwarranted, but what’s really interesting is that some fans are still discovering plot discontinuities and errors to this day.

Take Reddit user Tprime117. Over on the Marvel Studios subreddit, they shared a clip from the climactic Battle of Earth that pit the Avengers and their numerous allies against Thanos, his adopted children (aka the Black Order) and the formidable Chitauri army.

If you’ve already seen Avengers: Endgame, you’ll probably remember Cull Obsidian, Thanos’ largest “child” who relies on his size, strength and chain hammer to deal out damage in large doses. During the events of Infinity War, he was blasted into Wakanda’s force field and exploded shortly after, but thanks to Tony Stark’s (stolen) time travel technology, he made it back to Earth for one final battle.

The thing is, as Tprime117 points out, there’s a bit of a problem with Cull Obsidian’s appearance during the Battle of Earth. When the fighting begins, he’s struck by a hammer thrown by Captain America, but shortly after, he’s seen again in an entirely different location, sparring against Korg and Drax. This continuity error is likely the result of editing in post-production, and while it doesn’t ruin or even impact the film in a major way, it’s still interesting nonetheless.

We’re curious though, have you noticed any other mistakes or goofs with Avengers: Endgame (or any other MCU film for that matter)? Let us know in the comments below!
