Rob Liefeld Says He Won’t Talk About Deadpool 3 For Fear Of His Life

It was all the way back in December of 2019 when Ryan Reynolds revealed he was taking meetings with Marvel Studios over Deadpool 3, and any concrete information regarding the Merc with a Mouth’s third solo adventure has been incredibly hard to come by ever since.
What we do know is that the Molyneux sisters are writing the script with heavy input from the leading man and producer, with Kevin Feige confirming that it’s the only one of the 31 Marvel Cinematic Universe projects currently in development that will come bearing an R-rating.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife Director Wants An Entire Shared Universe

We all know what the definition of insanity is, but could Ghostbusters: Afterlife see Sony try to launch a shared universe all over again after the first attempt failed so spectacularly? Based on comments made by director Jason Reitman during the movie’s New York Comic-Con panel, the answer is dependent on how the upcoming sequel fares at the box office.
In the buildup to Paul Feig’s polarizing reboot, Dan Akroyd and Ivan Reitman founded the Ghost Corps production company, which was designed specifically to expand the Ghostbusters universe. Several projects were placed into active development, all of which found themselves abandoned when 2016’s reboot proved to be one of the most divisive blockbusters in recent memory.

Daniel Craig Says Knives Out Sequel Is Better Than The Original

Daniel Craig has been everywhere you look these days, which is to be expected when he’s hitting the promotional trail hard for No Time to Die, one of the pandemic’s longest-delayed movies that also marks his fifth and final outing as James Bond.
The latest era of the 007 mythos draws to an epic, fitting and more than a little controversial conclusion, but the actor has certainly bowed out in style. Once the dust settles on the 25th installment, there’s a genuine argument to be made that Craig might just be the best Bond we’ve ever seen, based on the complexities and depth he’s brought to the character.

Terminator 2 30th Anniversary 4K Steelbook Releasing Next Month

James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day isn’t just one of the best movies that both the action and sci-fi genres have ever seen, but a landmark for modern in cinema in general.
Hollywood’s first $100 million production blew the doors to the CGI revolution wide open, and it remains one of the most important and influential big budget blockbusters ever made. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the stone-cold classic, and a new 4K Blu-ray steelbook has been announced for release next month.

Jason Momoa And Dave Bautista Reveal Their Nerdy First Meeting

The bromance between Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista has seen the duo will a new buddy cop comedy into existence, based on little more than a tweet sent by the Guardians of the Galaxy star that quickly went viral.
A couple of days after Bautista put the idea out there, Momoa appeared on a talk show where he was asked about his interest in re-teaming with his Dune and See co-star, with the DCEU’s Aquaman confirming that they were actively trying to make it happen.

First Ghostbusters: Afterlife Reviews Praise A Worthy Sequel

Fans have been waiting for Ghostbusters: Afterlife since 1989, so being delayed by almost a year and a half as a result of the pandemic is a breeze by comparison. Jason Reitman keeps things in the family by helming the latest installment in the supernatural comedy franchise, doing what a lot of other people did a long time ago by completely ignoring the existence of Paul Feig’s 2016 reboot.
All of the footage we’ve seen so far has promised a winning blend of nostalgia, Easter Eggs and fan service, all while looking to ensure the narrative is propelled forward and the universe expanded by the new additions to the ensemble. It’s a tricky balancing act to pull off, but the early reviews have painted a hugely encouraging picture.

Venom 2 Writer Says Andy Serkis Was The Perfect Director For A Symbiotic Rom-Com

Andy Serkis revealed in a recent interview that he was toying with the idea of calling his superhero sequel Venom: Love Will Tear Us Apart, before he settled on Let There Be Carnage. The filmmaker knew exactly how to pitch the project, which fully leans into and embraces the insanity that the first installment often tried to shy away from in favor of self-seriousness.
In essence, the smash hit blockbuster is a cross between an odd couple story and a romantic comedy, with the notable caveat that one of them happens to be a parasite from outer space. It’s ludicrous on paper, and even stranger in execution, but fans can’t get enough of it.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Reportedly Casts Adam Warlock

It was made pretty clear during one of the last movie’s many credits scenes that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would introduce Adam Warlock into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and since then we’ve been inundated with potential casting rumors surrounding the fan favorite superhero.
James Gunn has stepped in to debunk one or two of them himself, with Seth Rogen even lending an assist, but as of yet the famously Twitter-happy filmmaker has yet to debunk the latest bout of speculation. Last week, it was claimed that The Maze Runner and Midsommar star Will Poulter had snagged the role, with The Cosmic Circus now following it up by saying there is indeed some weight to the speculation.

What If…? Creators Reveal Inspiration Behind Season 1’s Surprise Wedding

One of the most bizarre things to happen in Marvel’s What If…? saw Darcy Lewis and Howard the Duck get married in Las Vegas during the seventh episode, which saw Thor descend on Midgard to throw a party the likes of which the Nine Realms had never seen before.
It was a completely unexpected development in a series based entirely on giving audiences stories they could never have imagined, and fans will be hoping that we get to see the newlyweds again in Season 2. Marvel even leaned into the buzz by releasing an in-canon wedding invitation, so the company knows that the nuptials struck a chord with audiences.

Jon Bernthal Explains How To Create A Good Fight Scene

Netflix’s roster of Marvel shows often sagged in the middle due to episode counts that were maybe a little longer than they needed to be, but the comic book adaptations almost always delivered when it came to action.
In a huge stroke of coincidence, all of the platform’s New York City residents tended to find themselves in danger when they were trapped in a hallway of some description, forcing them to fight their way out in expertly-choreographed fashion.

Venom 2 Writer Wanted To Take Audiences On A Batsh*t Insane Ride

It would be fair to say that audiences are enjoying Venom: Let There Be Carnage a lot more than critics, looking at the disparities in the movie’s Rotten Tomatoes scores. Admittedly, that was to be expected when the concept of an odd couple story with romantic comedy elements set in the superhero genre where the conflict stems from the disagreements between a neurotic reporter and his symbiotic life partner hardly screams ‘prestige drama’.
Let There Be Carnage might not be going down in the history books as an all-time classic, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun. After the first installment earned in excess of $850 million at the box office, Sony clearly allowed writers Kelly Marcel and Tom Hardy to take the shackles off.

Ant-Man Star Compares Watching MCU Disney Plus Shows To Homework

The stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are under no obligation to keep up to date with the franchise’s latest happenings, but many of them evidently do. Tom Holland joked that he’d grown so impatient he was planning to press Kevin Feige for answers to his burning WandaVision questions, while countless others have reacted to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…? online.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Evangeline Lilly recently had high praise for Wanda Maximoff’s sitcom-inspired adventures and Tom Hiddleston’s reality-bending solo series, but the actress also admitted that she hasn’t been religiously following the entire Disney Plus slate.

Daniel Craig Says Bond Girls Are A Thing Of The Past

No Time to Die is currently on track to top the box office with a hefty $60 million opening weekend haul, and it’s been generating plenty of debate and discussion online for a gut-punch of an ending. Daniel Craig bowed out in truly epic fashion, having reinvented 007 and brought him crashing into the modern era across the last fifteen years.
The actor gave audiences a more grounded, relatable and human James Bond than they’d ever seen before, reducing the franchise’s reliance on its standard tropes. There are still shaken-not-stirred Martinis, outlandish gadgets, fast cars and cheesy one-liners, but the outgoing star is adamant that Bond girls are a thing of the past.

A Mediocre Netflix Action Movie Tops Nielsen Streaming Ratings

The Nielsen streaming charts are always dominated by Netflix on the television side of things, but the movie ratings often cover a number of different platforms. That’s proven to be the case once again, even if the most popular platform has snagged the top spot, thanks to the success of middling action thriller Kate.
The latest set of data reveals that Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s bruising star vehicle was viewed for 428 million minutes, placing it ahead of Amazon’s equally mediocre re-imagining of Cinderella, with Cruella taking third place after leaving Premier Access and being made available for free on Disney Plus.
