Microsoft’s new Surface Headphones launch on November 19th
Microsoft unveiled its new Surface Headphones at the company’s fall hardware event last week. The new over-ear headphones were originally shipping “in time for the holidays,” but now Microsoft has updated its Surface Headphones listing to reveal that they’ll be available for preorder on November 15th, and ship on November 19th. Priced at $349, the headphones include a turn dial to adjust 13 levels of noise cancellation.
Microsoft has also built “Hey Cortana” functionality into the headphones, with support for hands-free voice commands. There’s even touch controls on the ear cups for pausing music or skipping tracks, and Microsoft is using a USB-C connection to charge the headphones for 15 hours of battery usage. Kevin Smith Poses With Jon Hamm And Endorses Him For Batman
When it comes to Ben Affleck’s future with DC, we’re currently getting some mixed signals, but should the actor not be returning for the title role of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, it’s clear who Kevin Smith would want in his place.
While attending the New York Comic Con, the writer, director, and podcaster managed to get a couple of photos with his first choice to play the Caped Crusader, Jon Hamm. The Mad Men star has earned the go-ahead of many a DC fan to try his hand at playing Bruce Wayne, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger cheerleader than Smith, whose Instagram upload came with the following endorsement:
“Bat-Hamm! It’s hard to look good standing beside the best looking man in the world, but it’s worth it because I’m a huge Hamm fan (which sounds more erotically charged than I meant it)! The guy’s crazy talented, funny as fuck and smart as Hell. But just look at him in his suit and tell me that’s not Bruce Wayne! Give Draper the cape and light up the Bat Signal!”
While Hamm is currently a prominent name in the public discourse around who the next Batman should be, this is hardly a new stance for Smith, who mentioned on his podcast a couple of weeks ago that he’s been championing the Don Draper actor for years.
“I roll deep on Jon Hamm as Batman. I think that’s a brilliant idea, I’ve been saying it for fucking years, I’ve been saying it even when they cast Ben I was like ‘look, he’s great and yeah, he’ll do a great job’ but fuck Jon Hamm was right there and stuff.”
Despite all this fan fantasizing, we’re still awaiting official confirmation on whether Affleck actually will be dropping out of the franchise before The Batman. While a report from last month seemed to suggest as such, an inside source has since said that Affleck is now in the mood to put on the cape one more time, feeling that he could still take the character in an exciting new direction. In particular, Joaquin Phoenix’s work in Joker was highlighted as a source of inspiration that made Affleck want to stay the course all the more.
Regardless of whether it’s Batfleck, Bat-Hamm, or someone else who’ll be wearing the mask next, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is scheduled to begin filming in summer 2019, so here’s hoping Warner gets this uncertainty resolved sooner rather than later.

Rumor: Avengers 4 Starts With A 5 Year Time Jump
Infinity War has been on home video for a while now and though its sequel won’t be arriving in theaters until later next year, the onslaught of Avengers 4 rumors is already becoming too much to bear.
I mean, you need only take one glance into the Marvel Studios subreddit to see all of the many fan theories pertaining to the pic and its mysterious plot which will, for better or worse, tee up the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe come 2019.
Suffice it to say, there’s currently a lot riding on the untitled blockbuster, though the fact that Joe and Anthony Russo wrangled Infinity War into a compelling and coherent two-and-a-half-hour movie has us feeling pretty confident about Avengers 4, no matter how things play out for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
To date, there’ve been several rumors that point to some kind of time jump taking place between Infinity War and its sequel, and that’s now been thrown out there once again. Notorious tipster Daniel RPK has taken to Twitter to let us know that apparently, Avengers 4 kicks off 5 years after the last film. Though that’s yet to be confirmed, it’d certainly make sense with what we know so far, not to mention we’ve already seen leaked concept art that shows us many of the heroes looking quite different than they did the last time we saw them.
Plus, given that we’ve laid eyes Avengers 4 set photos which tease a trip back in time to the Battle of New York from 2012’s blockbuster, and the Ant-Man series implying that the Quantum Realm allows for time manipulation, we might actually be in for a whole array of time swings come next May. And we couldn’t be more excited about it.
