Huawei’s security troubles are hardening into a fight between the US and China
For months, telecom companies across the world have been struggling with what to do with Huawei. The US has effectively locked the company out of American telecom networks, citing national security concerns — but as the rest of the world faces the same choice, not everyone is convinced Huawei is a threat. Most US experts see Huawei’s exposure to the Chinese government as dangerous in itself, but as time has gone on, the national split is getting harder to ignore.
This week saw two more prominent figures taking sides, for reasons that seemed more political than technological. On Friday in Geneva, ITU chief Houlin Zhao spoke out publicly against the ban. “If you find anything wrong, then you can charge [Huawei] and accuse them,” Zhao said....

Avengers: Endgame Directors Say The Iron Man/Cap Reunion Scene Isn’t In The Movie
There were many scenes from the last Avengers: Endgame trailer that made an impact, but arguably the most discussed was the reunion between Iron Man and Captain America, which saw Tony ask his former friend if he trusted him, to which Steve replied that he did and shook Stark’s hand. Fans were left emotional by the reconciliation between the two heroes and can’t wait to see the sequence in context in the movie.
Here’s the thing, though: that scene might not actually be in the film. While speaking with Fox 5, the Russo brothers were asked what it was like to shoot such a key moment in the journey of these characters. Anthony Russo began to answer but then Joe jumped in with the revelation that the scene in question didn’t make it in the final cut and its placement in the trailer was an example of them deliberately misleading us, as the Russos have discussed before.
See their remarks below, at the 5:00 minute mark:
So, is Joe Russo telling the truth here? It’s hard to say but, on the whole, I think he’s deliberately teasing the interviewer. Especially as he sort of relents later on and says “or maybe it is in the movie.” What’s more, if you watch Anthony’s face while Joe’s speaking, it’s the look of a man who knows that his brother could be launching a wave of angry tweets from fans who don’t get the joke and think their favorite scene won’t be in the film.
The Russos’ reluctance to talk about the sequence, however, suggests that there’s something they want to hide about it until we’ve seen the movie. This could be to do with the theory that this moment actually reveals that Tony will revisit the events of The Avengers and this Steve he’s talking to is actually from 2012. The idea is that the shot has been digitally doctored to cover the 2012 suit with a different one, hence why Cap’s in his battered Infinity War costume not his Endgame one.
But we digress. Enough speculation for now, as all will be revealed when Avengers: Endgame lands in cinemas on April 26th.

Marvel Is Officially Calling Clint Barton Ronin In Avengers: Endgame
Ever since the release of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, Marvel fans have had the opportunity to watch some of their favorite superheroes in their own standalone movie. Over the past few years, both Black Panther and Spider-Man have received their own big screen treatments, with the former’s film racking up three Academy Awards in the process.
Of course, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for every single Avenger. While he did make an appearance in Civil War, sharpshooter Hawkeye hasn’t shown up in a Marvel film for nearly three years. That’s all about to change in Avengers: Endgame, though moviegoers might be surprised at Clint Barton’s new name and appearance.
Fans might remember that Hawkeye was absent from last year’s Avengers: Infinity War. While the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were off trying to take down Thanos, both Clint and Scott Lang/Ant-Man were relegated to house arrest, after the two took plea deals as a result of the Sokovia Accords. Needless to say, things have changed following Thanos’ destruction of half the universe, and it seems Hawkeye will be coming out of retirement for Avengers: Endgame, albeit with a different appearance.
As reported by ComicBook.com, Marvel Studios has revealed that they’ll be referring to Clint Barton as Ronin in Avengers: Endgame. This might not come as a shock to longtime fans – previous leaks of toys and action figures have shown off Barton’s new look – but this is the first time that Marvel has officially confirmed the change.
While it’s not entirely clear what happened to Barton after Thanos’ universe-shattering snap (maybe he lost his family and loved ones?), one thing is for certain. Ronin’s appearance and costume are certainly darker and grittier than Hawkeye’s, which could signal a change in tone for Barton’s character as a whole. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to find out what happened to Clint, as Avengers: Endgame will be hitting theaters on April 26th.
