First Eternals Reactions Are A Surprisingly Mixed Bag
The dust has barely settled on the red carpet premiere of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Eternals, and the first reactions to the intergalactic adventure have already made their way online. Surprisingly, not everyone appears to have been won over by the franchise’s 26th installment.
That butt-numbing running time was cause for concern among many, and from the sounds of things Eternals tends to drag on occasion. The cast are uniformly praised, though, with Angelina Jolie almost inevitably named as one of the ensemble’s standout performers, but there might be a tinge of disappointment among MCU fans that the movie largely isn’t being praised as top-tier content.

Danny DeVito Joins Disney’s Haunted Mansion Reboot
When it comes to naming the internet’s favorite actors, Danny DeVito is always near the top of the list. To illustrate that point, he might be 76 years old and nowhere near five feet tall, but that didn’t stop fans from launching petitions to have him cast as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s X-Men reboot.
The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia legend recently wrapped Season 15 of the beloved sitcom, and is finally set to return opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and newcomer Tracy Morgan in Twins sequel Triplets after the project spent 30 years in development hell, but he’s going to be taking a trip to Disney’s Haunted Mansion first.

The Flash Producer Explains How The Pandemic Affected The Movie
Having spent so long stuck in development hell since first being announced in October 2014, The Flash has become used to facing a setback or two. Eventual director Andy Muschietti was the fourth person to be awarded the job, while the script has been through just as many revisions, if not more.
In fact, the only constant throughout the entire process has been Ezra Miller, and even then there were rumors he could be dropped after a video of him choking out a fan went viral. Then, when the pieces finally fell into place and the DCEU blockbuster was gearing up for production, the pandemic hit and ground everything to a standstill.

Kevin Feige Breaks Silence On Marvel’s Phase Four Delays
It would be an understatement to say that fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were left devastated yesterday when the almost all of the remaining Phase Four movies were hit with further delays, which obviously isn’t the first time this has happened in the last eighteen months.
James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was the only project left unaffected, so there was just the tiniest sliver of a silver lining, but Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Marvels and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania weren’t so lucky.

Angelina Jolie Reveals If She’d Direct A Marvel Studios Movie
Angelina Jolie might be one of the biggest and most popular stars on the planet, with an Academy Award win under her belt and a string of acclaimed performances and box office smash hits dating back well over 20 years, but she’s also exactly the kind of director Marvel Studios would hire for a superhero blockbuster.
The comic book juggernaut has increasingly favored plucking lesser-known and relatively unproven filmmakers with a background in independent cinema to take the reins of the company’s big budget features, and Jolie certainly ticks those boxes looking at her career behind the camera to date.

New Indiana Jones 5 Set Photos Reveal Antonio Banderas
Following yesterday’s announcement that the movie isn’t coming to theaters until June 2023, a delay of eleven whole months, we at least know that director James Mangold has plenty of time to work on Indiana Jones 5 in post-production given the wait for Harrison Ford’s fifth and presumably final outing as the cinematic icon to arrive.
Ever since the leading man returned to work following his injury-related hiatus and production hit full speed once again, more and more set photos have been trickling online to generate plenty of rumor and speculation. Just the other day, Indy and Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s mystery character were spotted next to a battalion of Roman soldiers, increasing the time travel talk significantly.

The Flash Director Teases Introduction Of DCEU Multiverse
The multiverse is set to be the next big thing for both of Hollywood’s marquee superhero universes, with Marvel already setting the wheels in motion thanks to WandaVision‘s post-credits stinger, although DC won’t be getting in on the act until The Flash arrives in November 2022.
Based on the brief snippet of footage that debuted at FanDome, Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will find himself gathering a team and catching the attention of Michael Keaton’s veteran Batman after he unleashes the full extent of his abilities, giving him the power to visit any time or place.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Writer Shares Hilarious Reaction To Delay
The scripts for the first two Ant-Man blockbusters credited a combined total of eight writers, but star Paul Rudd was the only one to work on both. Marvel Studios have whittled that down significantly for Quantumania, with Jeff Loveness the sole scribe attached to the screenplay.
Evangeline Lilly even said it was the best writing she’s ever seen in the franchise, which might have irritated Rudd a little given his contributions, but with Loveness’ back catalogue featuring multiple episodes of Rick and Morty, we can at least feel confident that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s tiniest franchise will come packing plenty of laughs.

The Flash Director Says The Movie Will Blow Your Socks Off
The internet went into meltdown after the first look at The Flash was unveiled at DC FanDome, with fans collectively losing their sh*t at the tease of Michael Keaton’s returning Batman, as well as what looks like a secondary Barry Allen from an alternate universe.
Ever since the Scarlet Speedster’s solo debut was first announced in October 2014, it’s always been pegged as a loose adaptation of the Flashpoint storyline, which has the potential to forever alter the DCEU. A multiversal superhero epic featuring two versions of Barry Allen, a pair of Bruce Waynes and a solitary Supergirl sounds incredibly exciting, and all we’ve seen from the movie so far is less than two minutes of footage.

Ezra Miller Teases Barry Allen’s Journey In The Flash
In the theatrical edition of Justice League, Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen was almost exclusively used for comic relief, becoming the main conduit for Joss Whedon’s unstoppable desire to populate his scripts with as many zingers as possible.
The Flash had a much bigger and more important role to play in the Snyder Cut, though, which both deepened his backstory and saw him taken under the wing of Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne. While Warner Bros. and DC Films remain adamant that the SnyderVerse is over, Miller’s upcoming solo movie is set to pick up right where both editions of Justice League left off.

Eternals Press Screenings Don’t Feature Post-Credits Scenes
Chloé Zhao recently confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Eternals features a pair of post-credits scenes, with the two-time Academy Award winning filmmaker teasing that they could have major implications for the franchise moving forward.
The 26th installment in the sprawling superhero saga comes to theaters in just seventeen days, with screenings now being held for the press, while the red carpet world premiere took place last night. However, Marvel are evidently keen to maintain the tightest levels of secrecy and security surrounding the project, after FilmUpdates revealed on Twitter that the stingers were deliberately left out of the version of Eternals shown to journalists.

Black Adam Producer Hypes Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate
Pierce Brosnan is probably greatly looking forward to hitting the promotional trail for Black Adam next summer, because co-starring in a mega budget DC Comics adaptation alongside Dwayne Johnson is definitely one way to ensure that the majority of questions aimed his way won’t focus on James Bond, something he’s long since grown tired of.
Of course, most of the talk will fall squarely on the leading man, which is to be expected when the world’s biggest and most popular movie star is making his debut in the superhero genre, but that doesn’t mean the talented supporting cast won’t have major parts to play in the story.

Angelina Jolie Accidentally Confirms Eternals Sequel Plans
With the notable exception of the Hulk, every single character or team to have headlined their own standalone Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster has returned for at least one sequel. If they haven’t, then it’s either on the way or in development, because Kevin Feige simply doesn’t do one-and-done efforts.
That means the chances of Eternals launching a multi-film series are very high, especially with the cosmic epic tracking for what could turn out to be a pandemic-high opening weekend at the box office. The red carpet premiere for the movie took place last night, and Angelina Jolie may have given away one of the second installment’s potential storylines.
