Logitech to display carbon impact labels on product packaging and online
Logitech announced today that it plans to put labels communicating the carbon impact of products on all product packaging and on its website. The company says it expects labels will appear first on its gaming products later this year. The goal is to include labels across its full product portfolio by 2025, Logitech tells The Verge.
“Just like calories went on the packaging in the food industry years ago, we believe that carbon content level should be a choice factor for the consumers who are interested in it,” said Logitech’s CEO Bracken Darrell in an interview with The Verge.
The number you’ll see on the label represents the total carbon life cycle of the product. That indicates the amount of carbon emitted in the entire life of the...

T-Mobile explains why its network went down, hard, on Monday
If you’ve been wondering what could knock out one of the United States’ three big cellular carriers’ ability to deliver calls and text messages — and keep it that way for most of an entire day — T-Mobile now has a partial answer that pertains to its extensive nationwide outage Monday.
The short version, if we’re reading this correctly: a fiber-optic circuit failed, and its backup circuit also failed, which caused a chain reaction that strained the network to the point that many calls and texts couldn’t make it through.
The longer version:

Regal Theaters Announces That They’ll Reopen In July
2020 hasn’t been a good year for anyone, and although it seems like each month adds some new devastating event, one pervasive constant has remained – the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. It’s now infected nearly 8 million people worldwide and claimed the lives of 435,000. As it continues its global spread, millions of folks around the world have been stuck inside during the lengthy shutdown that’s also seen businesses being forced to close their doors and lose out on tons of money.
Despite the pandemic showing no signs of slowing down though, the economy is now beginning to reopen in some countries. The US – which remains the epicenter of the virus with 2.2 million cases and 120,000 deaths – is one such country that’s seeing a number of major business begin opening their doors to the public once again. And among those many businesses is Regal Theaters, who took to Twitter today to announce the date they intend to reopen.

The popular theater chain will resume business on July 10th but will be doing so with substantial safety guidelines in place to help ensure visitors remain virus-free. Some of the ways they’re keeping things clean and safe is by monitoring employees via regular health screenings and temperature checks. In addition, they’ll be reducing register access, making use of contactless payment methods, requiring masks for both employees and visitors, and maxing out at 50% theater capacity so that no one sits too close to one another. In fact, they’ll be enforcing the latter by only selling tickets that are at least two seats apart.
Meanwhile, AMC Theatres has recently reopened a few overseas locations but hasn’t announced a firm date on when their US spots will resume business, though the company has confirmed that they intend to reopen all of their theaters in July.

Avengers: Endgame Deleted Scene May Be Hinting At Thanos’ Return
After Avengers: Endgame, it seemed that Thanos’ role in the MCU was complete, but a deleted scene that’s been making the rounds online recently seems to suggest otherwise.
The scene in question is an alternate take of the meeting between the Hulk and the Ancient One. In it, Bruce Banner is the one who’s conflicted about accepting the stone and the resultant “consequences” of altering the timeline. The Ancient One then attempts to comfort Banner by telling him that the Avengers’ efforts are not in vain.
Here’s her reasoning:
“If someone dies, they will always die. Death is irreversible, but Thanos is not. Those you’ve lost are not dead. They’ve been willed out of existence, which means they can be willed back. But it doesn’t come cheap.”
This version is quite a departure from the one we saw in the final cut of the movie. The Ancient One is relaxed and almost jovial by comparison, as she lounges in a chair while sipping a drink and making quips when the Hulk appears. This was all swapped out for the somber-toned conversation that was eventually shown on screen.
However, these new lines do hint that someone with the will to bring Thanos back can do so, because disappearing during the Snap isn’t the same as dying. But who would ever want to bring the Mad Titan back? Perhaps another cosmic villain? Maybe, but the answer could be much simpler and arrive in the form of his son, Thane.
We previously reported that Marvel is considering a storyline where Thane will attempt to gather the Infinity Stones to bring his father back. Whether he’ll be successful or not remains to be seen, but there’ve been whispers for a long time now that Marvel’s not done with the Mad Titan yet and we’re fairly certainly we’ll be seeing him again in some form down the road.
But tell us, should Avengers: Endgame have been Thanos’ last MCU appearance? Or do you want to see more from him? Sound off down below.
