Jurassic World 3 Director Says The Film’s Kind Of Like Jurassic Park 6
I was watching Jurassic Park a few weeks ago and marveling at how well it’s constructed. The direction, script, performances and special effects all combine to create a movie where every single scene has something memorable happening. Sadly, the same cannot be said for its sequels, which range from mediocre to straight-up bad. Despite this, they’ve been sauropod-sized hits at the global box office, with Jurassic World 3 scheduled for a 2021 release.
In a surreal twist, the big draw for the next outing isn’t ferocious cloned dinosaurs, but the original movie’s dream team of palaeontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill), paleobotanist Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and chaotician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). Each of these characters have returned for various sequels, but they’ve never all been reunited on screen together.
Recently, director Colin Trevorrow spoke about the thought processes behind bringing them back, explaining that:
“Emily Carmichael and I call it ‘Jurassic Park VI’, because it is. … The next film allows the legacy characters to be a part of the story in an organic way. You start asking the most basic questions: who are these people now? What do they make of the new world they’re living in, and how do they feel about being part of its history? Ultimately it will be in collaboration with the actors. They know and love these characters. We’ll do it together.”
I very much doubt that these actors ‘love’ their characters, but hey, nostalgic millennials do and that’s what counts. What’s more interesting is the comment on “the new world” they’ll be living in. As we saw at the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and the recent short Battle at Big Rock, dinosaurs now exist in the wild and frequently come into contact with humans. This makes Earth a true Jurassic World.
You might call that development ridiculous, and you might say that a couple of guys with guns would make short work of gigantic hard-to-miss dinosaurs. And… you’d be right. But let’s face it, we’re on the sixth Jurassic Park movie and they can’t do another dinosaur-theme-park-goes-wrong story. My advice is just to go with the silliness and it’ll go down all the sweeter with Alan Grant and Ian Malcolm grumpily snipping at each other while Ellie Sattler rolls her eyes in the background.

Falcon And The Winter Soldier May Return In Black Panther 2
Thanks to the huge number of high-profile and expensive shows announced for Disney Plus, the synergy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only set to grow stronger in the future. Previous Marvel Television offerings like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the canceled Netflix shows were only tangentially connected to the movies at best, but with Kevin Feige now overseeing all of the studio’s creative development, the big and small screen aspects of the MCU will be linked closer than ever before.
The first Disney Plus series to hail from the world’s biggest franchise will be The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which is set to see Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes continue to deal with the fallout from Avengers: Endgame, with Sam inheriting the mantle of Captain America set to be a major plot point. How the show will tie into the larger MCU is anybody’s guess at this point, but apparently, the duo could be set to make their return to the big screen in Ryan Coogler’s highly-anticipated Black Panther 2.
At least, that’s according to sources close to WGTC, the same ones who told us that WB was developing a Green Lantern TV show and that Marvel considered recasting Hawkeye, both of which turned out to be true. As such, we have no reason to doubt it.
It should be noted that nothing is finalized at this point, with the Wakanda-set sequel still in the process of being written, but regardless of how the narrative of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier turns out, it wouldn’t be too difficult to bring the title characters back into the movies as part of T’Challa’s supporting cast.
Obviously, Bucky has history with the technologically-advanced nation, having gone into hiding in Wakanda following the events of Captain America: Civil War, with Shuri even creating him a shiny new bionic arm for his troubles. There’s been little news on Black Panther 2 following the project’s official announcement besides a possible working title, but Sam and Bucky have proven themselves to be reliable allies in the past, and it would make sense for the duo to answer T’Challa’s call if he finds himself in need of some backup.
For now, though, this remains only a possibility as the film is still being developed. But as soon as we learn more, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Blizzard lost a big sponsor after the Hong Kong outcry: Mitsubishi
Blizzard Entertainment may be feeling the effects of its controversial ban of Hong Kong Hearthstone player Ng “Blitzchung” Wai Chung for quite some time. The company not only faced a widespread player boycott, condemnations from US lawmakers, and numerous employee walkouts over the decision, but it also lost a key sponsor of its international gaming competitions.
According to The Daily Beast, Mitsubishi decided to pull sponsorships of Blizzard e-sports events after the company banned Wai Chung for voicing support for the Hong Kong protesters in a televised post-game interview earlier this month. Reddit users first noticed the disappearance of the Mitsubishi logo during a recent Asia Pacific Hearthstone tournament, and the company...

Here’s what HBO Max looks like
HBO Max, AT&T’s upcoming $15 a month streaming video service, looks nothing like its HBO Now counterpart.
Here’s a brief tour:
AT&T and WarnerMedia showed off the first look at its product interface at a special investor event today, with Andy Forssell, executive vice president and general manager, speaking about the importance of human curation, instead of simply relying on algorithms like Netflix and other competitors. That’s why HBO’s “Recommended by Humans” feature, something the company rolled out earlier this year, is getting a big lift on HBO Max. Celebrities will now have pages where they can list their own recommendations. HBO Max customers can then use those recommendation pages to select a movie or TV show directly from that...

Here’s How Michael Keaton Could Look As Bruce Wayne In A Batman Beyond Movie
Taking into account how popular Batman Beyond was when it originally ran as an animated series about twenty years ago – and how it remains beloved to this day – it’s continually baffled me as to why Warner Bros. haven’t revisited that tale. Well, DC Comics have published a variety of books continuing its legacy, but all we’ve seen on the animation side of things were the “Epilogue” episode of Justice League Unlimited and a DC Nation short released in 2014.
In my view, that’s not enough.
If I were to have my way, then Warner Home Entertainment would get the talented folks behind the wonderful DC animated films cracking on something following up on the cartoon we all fell in love with, but I’m not writing the checks. Or, perhaps the live action movie we all deserve could finally come to fruition.
Well, if recent reports pan out, then we’ll see the adventures of Terry McGinnis adapted to the silver screen within our lifetime. Not only that, but Michael Keaton would slip back into the role of his mentor, Bruce Wayne. Giving us an idea of how this could look is digital artist Kunal Chopra, who was kind enough to post the handsome piece found below on Instagram.
Now, what I like about this artwork is that Keaton doesn’t look too doctored. In other words, I entirely believe this is how he would appear as an older Bruce Wayne. I’ve seen other mock-ups online as of late, and some have gone as far to have his jaw appear as if it gained twenty pounds. Hey, our earlobes and noses may continue growing as we age, but I’m not so sure we’re all fated to look like Stan Smith from American Dad.
The rendition of Terry McGinnis here, meanwhile, looks to have used Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight as a blueprint. This is one instance in which I think tall ears are best fit for the cowl, but he’s still looking pretty badass. That said, keep watching this space as more Batman Beyond news hopefully develops.

Jamie Kennedy Won’t Be Returning For Tremors 7
It may have taken some time getting there, but Tremors is now on its way to being as sequel-ized as the likes of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. After proving the franchise is in no way ready to take its final bow with the most recently released A Cold Day in Hell, the cast and crew are primed to unleash more mayhem with a seventh go-round.
So, with series stalwart Michael Gross being confirmed to return, I’m sure some of you are wondering if Jamie Kennedy will be joining him. Unfortunately, the short short answer is “no.” But if you’d like more detail, here’s what the man himself had to say on Twitter:
“Lot of people have been asking me, so I might as well spill it. I will NOT be in the upcoming TREMORS 7. I had a great time making the last two. But no TRAVIS this time around. But hey you neva’ know what can happen in the future…. have a great time boys! Tdawg out!!!”
On the one hand, this is disappointing news to fans of Kennedy’s. But on the other, that statement does imply that he may come back for another installment, should the studio continuing pumping out these babies. Hey, he already has two of these flicks under his belt, so why not add a third at some point?
If reports are proven correct, this next movie will be titled “Tremors: Island Fury,” with the following synopsis attached:
“The deadly Graboids are back, illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.”
At the very least, that does sound like an interesting premise. As always, we’ll keep you posted as more news pertaining to Tremors 7 – or whatever it winds up being called – takes shape.

HBO announces new Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon
HBO has ordered a Game of Thrones spinoff series, House of the Dragon, straight to series.
The new prequel is written by Ryan Condal (Colony), with George R.R. Martin set to co-executive produce. The project is based on Martin’s 2019 book Fire and Blood, and is a history of House Targaryen (the ancestors of Daenerys) as they fight through a civil war. The series is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
HBO executive Casey Bloys made the announcement at an event for HBO Max, AT&T’s streaming service coming May 2020. The news comes just hours after news broke that HBO canceled a previously announced Game of Thrones spinoff series.
