Google’s Digital Wellbeing software is meant to be a helpful, transparent tool for monitoring your smartphone usage habits and striking a healthier balance between tech and life. But over the last couple weeks, a number of Pixel owners have come to the conclusion that it has the unwanted side effect of slowing down their device. There’s a very active thread on Reddit right now that includes many reports of improved performance when Digital Wellbeing is switched off. Some say the difference is apparent almost immediately.
Slowing down your phone isn’t supposed to be one of Digital Wellbeing’s features. It runs in the background and logs how much time you’re spending in apps and using a device in general. This data can be hugely valuable...

As with every other movie that involves time travel as a main component of its plot, Avengers: Endgame has been the subject of much debate lately, as fans argue over whether or not its sci-fi logic holds up to scrutiny.
In particular, the logistics of Cap’s ending have been called into question on numerous occasions, as the rules of time travel established in the movie seem to conflict with the fact that we see Old Man Steve sitting by that lake in the original timeline, when his alternate life should’ve really created a new timeline. Making things even more confusing is that the writers and directors have offered up two conflicting explanations for this, meaning we don’t really have a straight answer yet.
And now, it’s only gotten worse. If you’ll recall, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we learn that Peggy has two children with the man she married. Well, turns out that man was Steve Rogers and those are indeed his children. At least, that’s according to Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The Endgame writers spoke to THR recently and revealed that they always planned on having Cap be the father and the fact that he is means that, as Markus says, there are now two kids out there who have some super soldier DNA in them.
“It was always our intention that he was the father of those two children. But again, there are time travel loopholes for that,” said McFeely.
Added Markus: “It does introduce the idea that there are two children who have somewhat super soldier DNA.”
Obviously, this causes a lot of issues with the MCU timeline and already, fans are getting frustrated. Over on Reddit, one user wrote:
That breaks the time travel rules established in the movie. And the directors already said Steve lived his life with Peggy in an alternate timeline and then jumped back to the original timeline as an old man. The directors overrule the writers in my opinion. And since the writers’ statements don’t line up with the film, I’m disregarding them. Plus that would mean Steve unknowingly kissed one of his relatives during Civil War. Not a fan of that at all. I’ll stick with the directors’ statements instead. It fits the rules and it makes perfect sense.
Another user, meanwhile, chimed in with the following:
Well the directors say he went to a new timeline with an alternate Peggy. The writers suggest he stayed in the current timeline with the original Peggy. That’s a contradiction so both can’t be true, right? So I’ve just decided to agree with the directors because that fits with the explanations that Bruce and Ancient One give in the movie
Clearly, this latest reveal by Markus and McFeely is only going to cause more confusion around the film’s time travel elements, but regardless of if it all makes sense or not, it’ll be interesting to see how future projects from the studio follow through on the possibilities suggested in Avengers: Endgame.
In particular, it’s believed that Loki’s Disney Plus show will be set in the timeline where he runs off with the Tesseract. And as for the future of Captain America, though Steve looks to have hung up his shield, you can expect Sam Wilson to carry the title in the upcoming Falcon and and Winter Soldier TV series.

It’s been over two weeks since the release of Avengers: Endgame, but some of the scenes still have fans talking, and probably will for a while longer. One such moment in the movie occurred before folks could even finish their nachos, and the film’s writers have recently come forward about it.
The scene in question takes place when the remaining heroes discover, quite early into the movie, which planet Thanos is on. They’d been searching for him following the events of Avengers: Infinity War and an energy surge from deep space leads them to the Mad Titan, where, ultimately, Thor fulfills his promise. He goes for the head and decapitates the villain.
What blew fans away is how brazen, and early on, the scene was. It felt like the movie was already over and the next two and a half hours were going to be awkward as hell. In a recent chat with THR though, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed the moments that led up to the decision to include such an early twist.
“Remember, he is omnipotent. He is omniscient. It is ridiculous how much power he has at the opening of the movie, so for a good solid three weeks, we are trying to figure out, what is movie two with a character with that much power?”

“At one point, I think Trinh Tran, our executive producer, in frustration said, “God, I really wish we could just kill him.” We all went, “slow down. What does that mean? That’s interesting.” It’s absolutely within his character. When we asked, “Why would he let you?” Because he did what he wanted to do. It’s strong for him to do that. We’ve been at it a long time and that’s the kind of thing I beat myself up for not thinking of earlier. If I’m being consistent to his character, this is on the table.”
Remember, Thanos made very clear his high opinion of himself. I believe the word he used more than once was inevitable. This all makes it seem like he let the Avengers kill him. And why not? He knew he’d accomplished his goal of bringing balance to the universe. The Mad Titan may have also been fully aware that his past self would, if needed, give the heroes another run for their money.
This reveal by the Avengers: Endgame writers makes Ant-Man’s time heist plan work that much better and almost makes you forget about how the whole “let’s go back in time and fix everything” trope has been used too much in movies. Plus, we also got to see Thanos die twice by our heroes’ hands, which you have to admit, absolutely rocked.
