Tom Holland names Spider-Man characters he wants to see in their own movie

Tom Holland has been adamant that he wants to see Miles Morales debut in a live-action Spider-Man movie sooner rather than later, and the chances are exceedingly high that it’ll happen eventually.

After all, Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis name-dropped his nephew four years ago in Homecoming, which led to Kevin Feige confirming that the fan favorite wall-crawler exists out there somewhere. The current incumbent of the spandex has also endorsed Miles as his permanent replacement when he hangs up the suit for good, but that’s not all.

A massively underrated Seth Rogen comedy is blowing up on Netflix

Audiences generally know what to expect when they see Seth Rogen’s name attached to a comedy; he’ll probably be playing a slacker refusing to grow up and take on any responsibilities, there will be plenty of his signature hearty laughter, and at least one reference to his herbal remedy of choice.

While all of the above is technically true of Long Shot, the romantic dramedy has to be viewed as one of the most underrated movies of the actor, director, writer and producer’s career. Rogen’s Fred Flarksy is a journalist who runs into his former childhood babysitter, who also happens to be a fast-rising and hugely influential politician.

Kevin Feige says the MCU is finally ready for the multiverse

The entire inspiration for the Marvel Cinematic Universe came from the simplest of ideas drawn from the comic books; an interconnected set of stories that all took place in the same world, where characters from one series could show up anywhere across the slate to continue joining the dots.

Obviously, nobody in Hollywood had ever attempted anything on such a scale before, but it would be the understatement of the century to say that Kevin Feige pulled it off with aplomb. Now that the MCU is thirteen years, 26 feature films and five TV shows deep, he’s upping the ante again with the introduction of the multiverse.

Dwayne Johnson says he sympathizes with frustrated DCEU fans

Barely a day goes by without something related to the DCEU trending on social media, even though it’s usually fans demanding projects that Warner Bros. has no intention of giving them.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League may have given the campaigners what they wanted after three years of relentless demands, but the same can’t be said for the restoration of the SnyderVerse as a whole, the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, Ben Affleck’s Batman movie or Henry Cavill’s return as Superman.

Tom Holland teases a shocking scene in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Tom Holland comes across as a very wholesome young man, so playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s enthusiastic and regularly exuberant Spider-Man doesn’t appear to be much of a stretch for him as an actor.

However, next week’s No Way Home is set to throw more obstacles in Peter Parker’s path than ever before, with a spell gone awry causing the friendly neighborhood superhero and Doctor Strange to partner up in an attempt to prevent reality folding in on itself, and that’s without even mentioning the multiversal villains set to descend upon New York.

A disappointing horror movie unlocks streaming success

High concept horror is one of the easiest ways to print money in Hollywood, because audiences will never grow tired of being scared out of their seats, and that becomes especially true when a movie centers on a premise or concept they’ve never seen before.

Everyone knew what to expect from Escape Room going in based on nothing but the title alone, but it was disappointing to see how the film failed to make the most of its unique selling point. It’s not without merit, though, with director Adam Robitel creating an eerie sense of atmosphere, and the cast do a good job with the material, it’s just lacking the spark that could elevate it to the next level.

Kevin Feige explains how ‘Captain America: Civil War’ inspired ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

While we’re not 100% sure who we’re guaranteed to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, but if we take the various rumors, hints and teases at face value, it’s shaping up to be one of the most stacked ensembles in the franchise’s long and illustrious history.

So far only Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx and Willem Dafoe have been confirmed as multiversal returnees, but the presence of Sandman and Lizard in the second trailer would indicate that Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans will be dropping by. That’s without even mentioning Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield or Charlie Cox, never mind any unexpected surprises Kevin Feige may be hiding up his sleeve.
