Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus renders suggest a slightly bigger screen and much bigger camera bump

Renders of the Note 20 Plus come from leaked CAD drawings. | Credit: @OnLeaks / Pigtou

Last year’s Galaxy Note 10 Plus was truly a thing of beauty, with an amazing screen and superlative industrial design. And, judging by some high-quality (and completely unofficial) renders of the Galaxy Note 20 Plus, it looks like Samsung won’t be changing too much in 2020. The only major difference is a new, bulkier camera module on the rear of the device.

These renders come from noted leaker @OnLeaks in collaboration with phone-case maker Pigtou. As with all renders based on leaked CAD drawings, they should be taken with a pinch of salt, but the design they suggest for the Note 20 Plus seems reasonable enough.

The most obvious feature is the big, nearly edge-to-edge display, with curved bezels, sloping sides, and a small, central...

Apple iOS app updates are being re-issued for unknown reasons

Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge

If your iPhone or iPad has dozens of apps needing unexpected updates, don’t worry: you’re not alone. For some reason, Apple appears to be reissuing recently-published app updates, resulting in users having to reinstall the latest version of some apps.

Among the Verge team, the number of unexpected updates ranged from less than twenty to nearly 100, with updates dating back to the beginning of the month resurfacing from the depths of the App Store. Your experience will vary, of course, depending on how many apps you have and have frequently you update them.

Exactly why these updates are being reissued isn’t clear, but, as MacRumors notes, it might have something to do with a bug that seems to be affecting apps as of iOS 13.5. This bug...

Realme announces its first smartwatch and TVs

Realme’s explosive performance in India has made it one of the fastest growing smartphone brands in the world, and today the company is expanding into the nebulous “lifestyle tech” market with products in new categories.

First up is Realme’s first smartwatch, imaginatively called the Realme Watch. It has a square design with a 1.4-inch 320x320 LCD display and runs what appears to be a custom version of Android. It can display notifications, control music, hang up phone calls, and do other typical smartwatch things.

Realme is claiming 7 to 9 days of battery life from the watch, or 20 days in its power-saving mode. After my experience with the new watch from technological stablemate Oppo, though, I’d want to check that claim for myself.

Star Wars Fan Take To Twitter To Debate The Empire Strikes Back’s Best Scene

While some can quickly dissolve into toxic, unproductive arguments, we have to admit — we like it when a fanbase comes together for lighthearted, interesting discussions. Take for instance, the Star Wars franchise. Since the release of The Rise of Skywalker, you don’t have to look far to find ardent fans arguing over the sequel trilogy, but every so often, you’ll come across a lighthearted conversation which hasn’t been plagued with vitriol.

We can only assume that was what the folks behind the official Star Wars Twitter account were aiming for when they took to the platform to talk about one of the franchise’s most beloved films. For those who aren’t aware, The Empire Strikes Back celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this week, and to commemorate the occasion, two StarWars.com writers had a frank discussion about the film’s best scene. This conversation was shared on Twitter, prompting fans to chime in with their own opinions on the matter. As you can imagine, there was plenty of friendly debate and a wide variety of answers.

Obviously, there are a lot of responses to sift through, but here are a few of the best ones, compiled for your viewing pleasure.

We asked a few writers here at We Got This Covered to weigh in on the matter, and while we had a hard time coming to a consensus, the confrontation (and plot twist) between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker came up in conversation more than once. We’re not entirely sure if the fanbase as a whole will be able to settle on one scene in particular, but frankly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. Speaking of which, what’s your favorite moment from The Empire Strikes Back? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!
