Marvel Reportedly Wants To Make Ryan Reynolds The MCU’s Highest Paid Star
Hollywood usually has a whole number of comic book movies in development at any given moment moment, but few of them have been subjected to as much speculation and uncertainty as Deadpool 3. Last we heard, the film is in active development at Marvel Studios, but beyond that, there really isn’t much we can say for sure about it.
Even star Ryan Reynolds hasn’t been able to offer much in the way of updates, which might make sense. After all, now that the property is under Disney’s ownership, he likely doesn’t have as much creative control as he used to. And reportedly, the actor is beginning to get a bit frustrated with how long it’s taking for the hugely anticipated threequel to materialize.
But it seems Marvel does indeed have big plans for the property, despite the near radio silence. In fact, they’re actually hoping to make Reynolds the MCU’s highest paid star. Or so says a report from ComicBook.com citing insider Daniel Richtman.

Apparently, Kevin Feige and the team over at Marvel Studios are looking to sign the actor to a very lucrative deal, which would reportedly includes a ton of money and multiple appearances. Further details weren’t disclosed, but taking a look at Richtman’s Patreon, and you can see that he notes that this would be “the biggest deal in MCU history.”
Unfortunately, there’s no word on how much the Free Guy star would pocket from this or exactly how many movies it would cover, but clearly, Marvel is planning to do an awful lot with Deadpool in the coming years and that can only be good news for both Ryan Reynolds and fans of the Merc With a Mouth who are starting to grow restless waiting to see him pop up on the big screen again.

Cineworld, owner of the largest chain of theaters in the UK and Ireland and the second-largest in the United States — Regal Cinemas — will reportedly close all its theaters next week, according to Variety, The Sunday Times, and others.
Variety reports that all 543 theaters in the US will be closed, which account for the chain’s 7,000+ screens in the region. The Sunday Times reports that it will close all 128 theaters in the UK and Ireland, too.
Both say James Bond is the reason.

Spider-Man 3 May Feature All 3 Spider-Men Fighting Past Villains
Spider-Man 3 is gearing up to be a much bigger movie than the one we thought we were getting. The news that Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro has turned our understanding of the threequel on its head and it now seems like it won’t just be the next installment in the story of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker but may also act as the much-discussed live-action Spider-Verse project that we’ve all been dreaming of.
All the signs are pointing to both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield being in talks to return in some form, and a new report from FandomWire claims that the former wall-crawlers will star opposite Holland in Spider-Man 3. As for how Electro fits into this, FW also shares what could be our first hint at the film’s plot. According to them, the three Spider-Men will team up to fight a bunch of their old enemies.
The outlet doesn’t specify which other villains could return alongside Foxx, who first played the super criminal opposite Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but it’s not hard to imagine Michael Keaton reappearing as Vulture after his cameo in Morbius. Which of Maguire’s foes could feature is harder to say, however, as they were almost all killed off. Then again, with the introduction of the multiverse, anything is technically possible now.

Furthermore, we knew that Sony/Marvel were working on building up the Sinister Six, but it seems they might have a multiversal version of the supervillain team on the way, too. Who knows how all this fits into Peter being Public Enemy No. 1 now that he’s been framed for Mysterio’s death and crimes, but if this turns out to be correct, it would be a monumental event for Spidey fans.
FandomWire does stress, though, that they’re unable to 100% confirm these plot details at this stage, so it’s best to not get too hyped for the possibility just yet. Still, what with Jamie Foxx’s now-deleted Instagram post, it doesn’t seem all that crazy.
Spider-Man 3 is apparently filming this fall, so we can presumably expect more updates to materialize very soon. Stay tuned.

Luckily, French security researcher Wassime Bouimadaghene discovered the vulnerability, perhaps before it could be exploited, and it’s now been fixed.
Unluckily for Grindr, the company ignored his disclosures — until security researcher Troy Hunt (of Have I Been Pwned) and journalist Zack Whittaker (of TechCrunch) each confirmed the issue and wrote about it.
