The internet was buzzing yesterday when Chris Pratt posted a video from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, seemingly confirming that the long-awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel has finally started production ahead of a May 2023 release.

However, it appears the actor may have jumped the gun somewhat, with James Gunn stepping in to clear a couple of things up. The filmmaker is never anything less than completely open and honest with fans on social media, so when he says cameras aren’t rolling on Vol. 3, it’s best to take him at his word.

Following on from the world premiere of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Eternals, an unexpectedly mixed bag of reactions hit the internet, with one of the recurring criticisms of the cosmic comic book adaptation being the sheer volume of exposition contained with a story that runs for over two and a half hours.

While many superhero blockbusters tend to get bogged down in over-explanation, there’s no way Eternals wasn’t going fall into the same trap. Quentin Tarantino has always been notorious for talking up a huge number of projects that he never gets around to making, but he’ll need to settle on one eventually when he continues to reiterate that his next feature film is going to be his last.

Of course, retirement doesn’t mean a thing in Hollywood so there’s every chance it could end up being more of an extended hiatus, but the two-time Academy Award winner has admittedly been sticking to those particular guns for a while now. Speaking at the Rome Film Festival via Variety, Tarantino teased that he’s working on a bizarre experimental comedy that somehow incorporates a multi-lingual Spaghetti Western into the mix, but stressed that it isn’t his final movie.

An Awesome Zombie Movie Is Finding New Life On Streaming

If an R-rated genre film written by James Gunn and directed by Zack Snyder was announced in 2021, it would be an understatement to say that the internet would be in real danger of collapsing into itself. However, there was plenty of skepticism when it was first announced that the duo would be remaking zombie classic Dawn of the Dead almost 20 years ago.

Which was entirely fair, when George A. Romero’s 1978 original is held up by many as the single finest example of zombie cinema there’s ever been, whereas Snyder was a relative unknown helming his first feature film after working in commercials and music videos, while Gunn was best known at the time as the guy who wrote Scooby-Doo.
