Here’s How Oscar Isaac Could Look As Live-Action Spider-Man 2099

As well as being one of the best animated movies in recent memory that received almost universal critical acclaim and an Academy Award win for Best Animated Feature, virtually every frame of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was jam-packed with fan service. Making the most of the multiverse concept, longtime Spidey aficionados were thrilled to the likes of Miles Morales, Spider-Ham and Spider-Man Noir on the big screen for the very first time.

Those who stuck around for the credits were treated to even more goodies, including the appearance of fan favorite Spider-Man 2099, who ended up trapped in the world of the classic 1960s animated series, recreating the famous Spider-Man meme in the process. It might only have been a very minor cameo, but Sony still went all out and recruited Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac to voice the character, and now fan art by Apexform has shown how the actor would look as a live-action version of Miguel O’Hara, which you can check out below.

Spider-Man 2099 has always been one of the most popular alternate versions of the web-slinging superhero ever since he first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics back in 1992, and has remained at the top of people’s wish-lists to eventually get the live-action treatment for just as long. An animated series was once in the works over 20 years ago, but was ultimately abandoned because it would have felt too similar Batman Beyond.

However, there has been recent speculation that a live-action series could eventually be made for Disney Plus, although that would require another round of intense negotiations between Sony and Marvel Studios in order for it to happen. Having voiced the character already in the animated realm, as well as working with the Mouse House previously on the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Oscar Isaac would be the ideal candidate to bring Spider-Man 2099 into live-action if it ever goes ahead.

Microsoft is rolling out a new reply-all protection feature for Office 365 and Exchange Online. It’s designed to prevent email storms (reply allpocalypse), when hundreds or thousands of people start replying to an email thread after someone forgot to BCC everyone or a distribution list was misconfigured.

The new block feature will mostly benefit large organizations, and is initially being rolled out to detect 10 reply-all emails to over 5,000 recipients within 60 minutes. “Over time, as we gather usage telemetry and customer feedback, we expect to tweak, fine-tune, and enhance the Reply All Storm Protection feature to make it even more valuable to a broader range of Office 365 customers,” explains Microsoft’s Exchange transport team.

Batman Forever Star Val Kilmer Explains Why He Left The Role Behind After One Movie

It’s kind of ironic that the star of Batman Forever was actually only Batman once. Val Kilmer took over the role of the Dark Knight from Michael Keaton when Joel Schumacher grabbed the reins of the franchise from Tim Burton and steered it into a campier direction. The 1995 movie was a hit and Kilmer’s interpretation of Bruce Wayne has its fans, but nonetheless, George Clooney replaced him in the much-maligned Batman & Robin (1998).

So, why did Kilmer hang up his cape after just the single appearance? Well, the famously eccentric star spoke to The New York Times for an enlightening profile piece, during which the topic came up. Kilmer recalled how Warren Buffet and his family came to visit the set one day, so the actor made an effort to stay in his Batsuit for the kids. However, the tycoon’s grandchildren didn’t pay him any attention as they were too enthralled with the props and taking a ride in the Batmobile.

This resulted in Kilmer having a major revelation. “That’s why it’s so easy to have five or six Batmans,” he said, explaining his take on why audiences accept different actors under the cowl. “It’s not about Batman. There is no Batman.”

In other words, the star ended up seeing the superhero as more of a cipher than an actual living, breathing character in his own right. Obviously, hardened Bat-fans would have some strong words to say in response to that, but in Kilmer’s defense, you can understand how he came to that conclusion while making Forever, which cut out a lot of the psychology of Burton’s movies, leaving Bruce less textured.

Of course, it’s also worth remembering that we’re not actually sure Kilmer did decide to vacate the role himself, as Schumacher has said he didn’t invite the actor back after he was such a pain during production, hence why famous nice guy Clooney stepped in for Robin. Whichever version of events is true, it’s clear that Kilmer had no desire to play Batman forever after his experiences on Batman Forever
