LG’s 48-inch OLED TV goes on sale in June for $1,500
Last week LG said its 2020 lineup of TVs will start rolling out in the US this month, but didn’t give precise dates or pricing information. Now, via CNET, we know a little more. In fact, only one model will be available in March — the $1,800 55-inch CX, LG’s mainstream 4K OLED set.
The other CX sizes are coming in different months: April for the $2,800 65-inch, May for the $5,000 77-inch, and June for the new 48-inch size, which is going to set you back $1,500. That might not be as cheap as you were hoping, given that the 55-inch C9 from 2019 has often been available on sale for around that much, but prices will no doubt similarly go down throughout the year.
The entry-level BX OLED models are both arriving in May at $1,500 for the...

Vanessa Hudgens Apologizes For Insensitive Coronavirus Video
While many celebrities are doing their best to help out with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, donating money to charities, sharing inspiring messages on social media and trying to stay positive amidst all the chaos, actress/singer Vanessa Hudgens is taking a bit of a different approach.
Earlier this week, the former High School Musical star shared an Instagram Live video where she made some awfully insensitive remarks about what’s going on right now in the world. In case you missed it, here’s what she had to say:
“Yeah, ’til July sounds like a bunch of bullsh-t,” Hudgens said. “I’m sorry. It’s a virus, I get it. I respect it. But at the same time, even if everybody gets it… Yeah, people are gonna die, which is terrible, but inevitable. I don’t know, maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now.”
Obviously, it wasn’t long before the internet began roasting her and realizing that she maybe shouldn’t have said all that, Hudgens issued an apology. And though we appreciate her trying to clean up her mess and set things right, it doesn’t look like too many people online are buying it.
In any case, here’s what she shared in response to the backlash:
“Hey guys, so yesterday I did an Instagram live and I realized today that some of my comments are being taken out of context,” Hudgens said. “Um, it’s a crazy time. It’s a crazy crazy time, and I am at home and in lockdown and that’s what I hope you guys are doing too, in full quarantine, and staying safe and sane. Yeah, I don’t take this situation lightly by any means. I am home. So stay inside ya’ll.”
Again, the effort’s appreciated but frankly, it looks like the damage here is already done and Hudgens is going to have a tough time finding her way back into fans’ good graces again after her insensitive and just downright strange comments about the Coronavirus. I mean, just take one glance on Twitter and you’ll see how angry people are about the whole thing.
But let’s not forget that we have more important issues to focus on right now. Vanessa Hudgens‘ remarks are one thing, and they certainly are worth getting upset over, but the virus itself is another and it’s still out there and spreading fast. So be sure to do everything you can to take the proper precautions and keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

Chris Rock’s Saw Reboot Has Been Delayed Indefinitely
There was a lot of confusion last year when it was revealed that Chris Rock, who isn’t exactly known for taking dramatic roles let alone entering the horror genre, was developing the ninth installment in the Saw franchise. Not only was he going to take the lead in what would eventually be titled Spiral: From the Book of Saw, but he’s also responsible for the outline of the story and even has an executive producer credit on the project.
Strange as it seemed, though, there was a sudden spark of interest in the property again, which only heightened when we learned that Samuel L. Jackson had also joined Spiral. The first trailer was pretty exciting, too, only showing us the film’s connection to the rest of the series in the final few moments. As such, excitement is now at an all-time high for the next chapter, which is why we’re saddened to have to tell you that Lionsgate has delayed Spiral: From the Book of Saw indefinitely, meaning it won’t open on May 15th, 2020 as originally planned.
Of course, this is due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen numerous films be hit with delays. Just earlier today, in fact, Marvel pulled Black Widow off the release schedule. As of yet, no new release date has been given to Spiral, though the studio says they’re “evaluating the next steps, dates, and strategies.” In other words, stay tuned.
As far as the plot of Spiral goes, we know that Rock is playing brash Detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks who, along with his rookie partner (Max Minghella), discovers a string of horrific murders which bring back memories of the city’s troubled past. As the first Saw film since 2017, when Michael and Peter Spierig brought us Jigsaw, hopes are certainly high for it, but it seems we’ll have to wait a little bit longer now to lay eyes on what the comedian has cooked up for us.
Spiral: From The Book of Saw is currently without a release date, but as soon as that changes, we’ll be sure to let you know.

The Internet’s Roasting Vanessa Hudgens For Her Coronavirus Video
As if we needed another reason to go and get all upset and angry over something considering everything that’s going on in the world right now, Vanessa Hudgens has gone ahead and given us one.
Earlier today, the actress/singer went on a bizarre rant about the Coronavirus. Speaking in an Instagram live video, the former High School Musical star made the following remarks about what’s happening right now:
“Um, yeah, ’til July sounds like a bunch of bulls–t,” she said of the potential quarantine timeline for the United States on social media. “I’m sorry, but like, it’s a virus, I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time I’m like, even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible but like, inevitable?”
Clearly, that’s pretty insensitive and though she did later issue an apology, it seems that the damage has been done. Almost immediately after sharing her video, tons of people took to Twitter to blast Hudgens, calling her out for her tasteless and quite frankly, bewildering comments about the Coronavirus. And below, you can find just a sampling of what folks are saying on social media.
That's okay. Your twitter cover says it all….self-centered and selfish to the core.

#CancelCulture is coming hard. And you deserve it. #next
— MARTINI LOVER (@LoverMartini) March 18, 2020
Blocked, baby.
— Anne Margaret Daniel (@venetianblonde) March 18, 2020
I unprotected my tweets bc I just wanted to say @VanessaHudgens doesnt know shit about the severity of coronavirus. Just another one running her mouth on how it’s not that serious when IT IS. Stick to high school musical girl. Stay in ur lane.
— Katie Lowe (@Kibbyyyyy) March 18, 2020
WTF Vanessa Hudgens. Not caring if everyone died? That's so wrong!! No one should die from this virus and unfortunately some will (and have). Her reaction is cold-hearted.
— PrismaticDragons76 (@PrismaDragons76) March 18, 2020
So like you’re like an idiot. Like totally and like completely. Like you should really go hibernate until like Coachella or like something else comes up. K like bye @VanessaHudgens https://t.co/AzyNGHFfHW
— Bridge (@bridge_emmm) March 18, 2020
— Daniela (@Daniecastii) March 18, 2020
can’t believe the first covid celebrity death was vanessa hudgens' career
— janinereilly (@janinereillya) March 18, 2020
How about a donation to one of these many organizations for the thousands of service people who no longer have jobs? https://t.co/wWXZMZi0Ds
— Marissa (@riss128) March 18, 2020
@VanessaHudgens Delete your account.
— Skydad (@mrtanner) March 18, 2020
I really hope she’s high or drunk because there is no other possible explanation for that
— Troy Thielen (@thielen21) March 18, 2020
Hey Vanessa, you’re an adult. Think before you speak. Everyone else is in lockdown too. Most of us aren’t making idiotic comments like you. #ChinaVirus #numbskullthesequel
— Chris (@ChrisMc081976) March 18, 2020
Vanessa Hudgens and her apology can go to Hell.
— KIMIKO (@JasmineChriston) March 18, 2020
And again, that’s just a sampling. Indeed, it seems everywhere you look on Twitter right now, people are hating on Vanessa Hudgens, and understandably so. Whether or not she’ll be able to save her career and find her way back into fans’ good graces again remains to be seen, but as is often the case with this type of thing, we’re sure it’ll all blow over once the next celebrity makes some controversial rant.
For now, though, Vanessa Hudgens is certainly in hot water and we imagine she’ll be staying away from social media for a little while until things cool off.

Tesla told to shut down California factory to help fight the coronavirus
Tesla is not exempt from the San Francisco Bay Area’s new coronavirus shelter-in-place order, and should suspend normal operations at its Fremont, California factory for three weeks, according to county officials and the local Sheriff’s office. This comes after Tesla kept its factory open and running today, the first day that the new order was in place.
The shelter-in-place order was announced yesterday by the leaders of six counties in the Bay Area as part of a collective effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Citizens were asked not to leave their homes except for “essential activities” like buying food, and “nonessential businesses” were ordered to shut down to further discourage the spread of the virus.

Marvel Fans Now Petitioning For Black Widow To Be Released On Disney+
After Marvel announced today that they’re delaying the release date of Black Widow indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans are now petitioning online for the studio to release the movie on Disney Plus.
Who would’ve thought that the novel coronavirus, which was only a mildly concerning outbreak in its early days back in December, would go on to cripple almost every industry in the world and afflict more than 160 countries? As of now, more than 7,900 people have died as the result of the pandemic and global communities have confirmed more than 197,000 cases.
Even some high profile celebrities in Hollywood, including Tom Hanks and Idris Elba, have contracted the disease and are currently under quarantine. In addition, the entertainment industry will likely lose $20 billion in revenue, marking an unprecedented decline as more studios and companies shut down production or postpone the release date of their titles.
With the virus now rapidly spreading throughout the United States, health officials are calling for social restrictions. Consequently, most features, including blockbusters such as A Quiet Place II, No Time to Die and Peter Rabbit 2 have all delayed their release date, and Marvel’s Black Widow is the next big name to follow suit.
Since there’s no telling when things may start to take their normal course, MCU fans are asking the Mouse House to release the movie on their newly launched streaming platform.
Can Black Widow go on @disneyplus please? That would be awesome! Thanks! @Marvel @MarvelStudios

@disneyplus @MarvelStudios @Kevfeige I'll be the first to say if need be I will pay to purchase and or watch the new Black Widow film to help generate revenue if it has to to go to streaming due to the outbreak #DoingWhatICan #MCUFanatic #LoveMarvel
— Travis Franklin County Bell (@FranklinCounty1) March 17, 2020
Release #BlackWidow on @disneyplus!
— Alex Hernandez (@alexthoth) March 17, 2020
@disneyplus @Marvel has enough cash. They should put #blackwidow out on the streaming platform instead of theatres and spread some cheer that way.
— sensatehours (@sensatehours) March 17, 2020
@disneyplus you know what to do
#BlackWidow pic.twitter.com/DOtj0kGezw— Jamarco (@Ickythepro) March 17, 2020
Frankly, seeing as how things are turning out for the film industry, this isn’t an entirely unreasonable idea. Disney has already demonstrated their willingness to support the cause of stopping the growth of the COVID-19 pandemic by releasing the home edition of The Rise of Skywalker earlier than planned. Besides, this might be a great marketing opportunity for Disney+, especially now that people are advised to stay at home.
At this point, officials believe that the world will likely grapple with the coronavirus for a long time, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the Mouse House decides to take the first step in revolutionizing the film industry by releasing Black Widow on their streaming platform.

Jared Leto Just Found Out About Coronavirus Today After Returning From Desert
The Coronavirus has caused chaos and widespread panic all over the globe, with lockdowns in place in countries on every continent, and people stockpiling supplies like the end of the world is coming. Our entire way of life has been brought to a standstill, with every aspect of society and culture hitting the brakes as governments desperately try to contain the spread.
Movies and TV shows are being delayed, postponed or cancelled on a daily basis as Hollywood scrambles to deal with theater chains closing and entire cities essentially being quarantined, with the industry set to lose out on up to $20 billion in revenue this year as the crisis deepens with each passing day. Unfortunately, however, nobody told Jared Leto.
The 48 year-old Academy Award winner, who himself has a big budget blockbuster set for release this summer with Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Morbius, admitted that he was completely unaware of the rapid spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, and explained his absence on Twitter by revealing that he was doing quite possibly the most Jared Leto-type thing imaginable, as you can see below.
Wow. 12 days ago I began a silent meditation in the desert. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility.
— JARED LETO (@JaredLeto) March 17, 2020
That’s right, Jared Leto missed the escalating development of what is shaping up to be one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history by spending almost two weeks locked in a mysterious, technology-free desert facility designed for silent meditation. The world is now a much different place than the one he left behind, so hopefully he acquired the spiritual awakening that he was after during his inadvertent self-isolation. Or maybe he was just trying to get over the fact that Warner Bros. made a Joker movie without him, and it turned out to be a critically-acclaimed smash hit.
