The law will prohibit internet providers from blocking or throttling any legal apps and websites, and it will ban paid prioritization of content. This weekend, members of the UK’s Conservative Party kicked off their annual conference in Birmingham, using the event to highlight their plans and priorities for the coming year. This year’s event had a rocky start: its official app allowed users to access personal contact information of other attendees, without a password.

The FBI used a suspect’s face to unlock his iPhone in Ohio case

When Apple debuted Face ID with the iPhone X last year, it raised an interesting legal question: can you be compelled to unlock your phone by looking at it? In an apparent first, Forbes reports that the FBI got a suspect to unlock his phone during a raid in August.

In August, the FBI raided the home of Grant Michalski, looking for evidence that he had sent or received child pornography. They were armed with a search warrant [warning: this documentation contains explicit descriptions of sexual abuse] which allowed them to search Michalski’s computer for evidence, and during the raid, agents recovered his iPhone X.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Set Video Reveals First Look At Mysterio

Jake Gyllenhaal has finally landed his first major comic book movie role, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

News broke earlier this year that Gyllenhaal, star of projects such as Stronger, Nightcrawler and The Day After Tomorrow, has boarded Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home as Quentin Beck (AKA Mysterio), where he’ll presumably star opposite the returning Michael Keaton (Adrian Toomes/The Vulture).

Of course, the studio is yet to give us an official look at him in the role, but the mere fact that Gyllenhaal’s involved in the sequel is exciting in and of itself – not least because he apparently jumped right to the tip-top of Marvel’s wishlist after Ryan Gosling (!) bowed out of the race for Mysterio.

And now, with filming on the hugely anticipated sequel underway, we’ve received our very first glimpse of the A-lister in the role via a set photo and video. It’s far from official, but at this point, we’ll take what we can get. Not to mention that the character looks great here, with Marvel dressing him in a classic, comic-accurate costume.

Fans on Reddit are already freaking out over this and the only thing we need now is the fishbowl helmet – which will likely be added in post-production, hence why Gyllenhaal isn’t wearing it here.

Dubbed one of Peter Parker’s deadliest foes, Mysterio is a gifted, albeit very under-appreciated special effects guru who yearns to become a bona fide supervillain, and dreams up all sorts of illusions and tricks to counter Spidey’s abilities.

While he’s expected to be the central antagonist of Spider-Man: Far From Home, he definitely won’t be the only villain looking to make trouble for the web-slinger. Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming as well, which has led fans to theorize that the Sinister Six is on its way, though for now, the exact nature of the threat Spidey faces next remains – fittingly enough – a mystery.

Mysterious Villain Spotted In New Spider-Man: Far From Home Set Pic

Spider-Man: Far From Home has now finished its London shoot and, in keeping with the film’s plot of Spidey on a European tour, has moved on to Prague and Venice. Along the way, we’ve gotten a look at a new costume that’s inspired a lot of debate as to what it might signify. Most notably, this is an all-black suit, which is pretty un-Spider-Man given his usual penchant for red and blue (at least when there aren’t symbiotes in town).

The general consensus seems to be that it’s a stealth suit of some sort, used for when the wall-crawler needs to keep a low profile and do some snooping. But what we have today is perhaps even more intriguing, as seen down in the gallery below is yet another new set photo and this one features what appears to be a mysterious villain.

It’s tough to make out exactly what’s going on here, but it seems as if Ned’s out with a girl at some sort of carnival. However, they’re interrupted by a third figure and though we can’t say for sure, fans are thinking it could be Mysterio. At least, that’s what some people are putting forth over on Reddit.

As we said above, it’s too difficult to say for sure who – or even what – this mysterious third figure may be, but with production continuing to move along and more and more set photos trickling out, it’s surely only a matter of time before we get a proper look at Mysterio. Jake Gyllenhaal’s villain has everyone talking, with fans desperate for an idea of how he may look on screen. With any luck, we’ll get to see exactly that before the year’s out.

And if not, then we’ll just have to wait and see what fresh danger Europe will bring to Peter and his colleagues when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5th, 2019.

Kevin Smith Reveals Who He Wants To See As The Next Superman

For the first few films of the DCEU, Warner Bros. made Superman into the star of the franchise. But after a string of disappointing outings – not to mention Henry Cavill’s reported departure from the role – it appears that a shakeup’s in order, and that could mean putting Clark Kent’s saga on ice for the foreseeable future.

If you ask writer, director, and podcaster Kevin Smith, however, Warner would do better to keep the Man of Steel alive. Speaking on his podcast not too long ago, the filmmaker urged the studio to keep making Superman movies and now, he’s even offered up a few suggestions for who could replace Cavill in the role.

First up, Smith commented on the recent rumors of Michael B. Jordan of Black Panther fame possibly taking over, and it seems as if he’s totally on board with that.

“I’ll be honest with you, when they said Michael B. Jordan the other day, I was like, ‘Yes, do it, do it.’ And that’s not even a new, like, f— progressive idea.”

“When I was working on Superman in 1996, Will Smith was floated as Superman. And I was like, ‘Oh my God, f— do it,’” Smith said. “And to be fair, that came from [producer] Jon Peters. John Peters was like, ‘Will Smith should play this role.’”

It’s not only Jordan that Smith has in mind, though, as he also threw his support behind both Chris Pratt and John Krasinski.

“Like here — Chris Pratt seems like an ideal Superman, kinda. In terms of personality, seems like a big cuddly kid, likes everybody, and stuff like that.”.

“Krasinski is a great f— pull, too, man. Krasinski has like a Chris Reeve thing going on, excellent f— job,” Smith said. “Krasinski is a really good f— pull. And you let him direct that sh-t as well! But you make him put dialogue in it this time. That’s a really good idea.”

While we agree with a lot of what Smith says here, at this point, it’s tough to predict what Warner has lined up for Superman, with the studio themselves remaining pretty ambiguous on whether or not Cavill has actually left the role. Regardless, we imagine that the Man of Steel will be returning to the big screen somewhere down the line, albeit probably after a longer period of silence than we’re used to.

Cavill’s inevitable replacement probably won’t be announced for a while, either, as don’t forget, WB is currently much more focused on bringing Supergirl to cinemas yet again, so it’s highly advised that you not hold your breath for any news on Superman to surface for a long while. Still, as soon as something does arise, we’ll be sure to let you know.
