3 From Hell Gets New Trailer Teasing One Night Only Return To Theaters
Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell was only playing on select big screens for three nights last month, which didn’t give many fans enough time to make it to a theater. Due to popular demand though, the movie will now be shown for an exclusive fourth night later this month. The return to cinemas comes with a special video introduction from Zombie himself and a commemorative poster, along with an all-new trailer that was released today.
The one-minute teaser features plenty of violent and bizarre scenes we’ve already seen in other released clips, along with a few new ones. Quotes from favorable reviews break up the action, too, which looks to be as over-the-top and gory as advertised.
The extra release occurs one day before the flick will be available to purchase on Blu-Ray. The box set will be a treat for all of those who weren’t able to make it to any of the screenings, as well as those who’ve already enjoyed the film plenty of times. The disc comes with an especially brutal unrated cut of the R-rated movie and a four-part documentary on how it was all made.
3 From Hell picks up right where the last installment of the series left off. The depraved Firefly family is engaged in a shootout with police that they somehow survive due to some poor shooting by the Sheriff’s Department. They don’t have time to celebrate, however, as they’re all quickly thrown into jail. Fourteen years behind bars only makes the monsters more evil though while they plan their big escape.
Be sure to purchase tickets now for the additional screening on October 14th and/or pre-order the Blu-Ray of 3 From Hell online. This little slice of “horror heaven” isn’t something fans of the genre are going to want to miss out on.

Warner Brothers Now Casting A Young Neo For The Matrix 4
I know you’re out there. I can feel you now. I know that you’re afraid of The Matrix 4. You’re afraid of bad sequels. You’re afraid of bad casting decisions. I don’t know the future. I didn’t come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it’s going to begin. I’m going to write the rest of this article, and then I’m going to show these people what you don’t want them to see. I’m going to show them a world with a young Keanu Reeves.
Damn, the first Matrix is amazing, eh? Well it seems like Warner Bros. are going to try to literally capture some of that late 90s magic again by finding an actor to portray a younger version of Neo, the role that solidified Keanu’s place in the action pantheon, alongside the Older One himself. This is all according to Variety reporter Justin Kroll, who revealed the info on a podcast called, oh boy, “Your Mom’s Basement.”
This isn’t the first we’ve heard of young-casting older actors. After all, we already knew that The Matrix 4 would contain a young Morpheus. Other than that, though, not a whole heck of a lot is known about this mysterious picture. There’s no release date, no solid plotting details, no ideas on if this young stuff is time travel, an alternate version of the Matrix…who knows, man?
I’m kind of looking forward to the film, though. Keanu has blossomed into his own brand of hero now, Lana Wachowski, who’s directing and producing, has really come into her own over the last two decades as an ambitious, if occasionally muddled, filmmaker, and this is an IP that I believe genuinely does deserve some attention. I also want a video game, gosh dang it.
Also, when we get an official title for The Matrix 4 it better be, like, The Matrix Rebooted or Restarted…or maybe Defragmented? Some computer junk. Reloaded would have worked. They should’ve saved that one.

All Four Scream Movies Are Now Streaming On Netflix For Limited Time
Now that some of you have begun mapping out your “31 Days of Horror” agendas for display on social media, I’m sure that you’ll incorporate several of the requisite viewings into your plans. After all, what would this month be without digesting certain franchises like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Halloween?
In my view, another one worth the time of lovers of the macabre is Scream. Being old enough to remember when each movie arrived on the scene, I can attest to how the first few flicks under that banner defined slashers in the 1990s, in addition to playing a huge part in the commercialization of Caller ID.
Well, beginning today, all four entries into the quadrilogy directed by Wes Craven are available for streaming on Netflix for a limited time only. Here’s what the popular service had to say regarding the matter on its official Twitter account, with an accompanying collage showing series lead Neve Campbell evolving as Sidney Prescott over the years below that:
“A lot can happen in a lifetime. For the next six days, you can marathon all four Scream movies on NetflixUS — take a stab at it!”
Holy crap, that is indeed a very limited time! Still, this affords neophytes and veterans alike the chance to either acquaint or reacquaint themselves with some true classics. If this franchise was known for anything, it was its ability to simultaneously scare audiences and intrigue them with a “whodunit,” as well as offering commentaries on the horror genre and modern society.
If the four Scream movies don’t prove enough to satisfy your bloodlust, then I highly recommend seeking out the TV series of the same name recently developed for MTV. Though I’ve yet to see the rebooted third season for myself, it’s worth checking out the first two. They may follow their own storyline, sure, but you’ll likewise be hooked. The second season got especially dark and gruesome, so stick around for that at the very least.

J.J. Abrams Explains Why Kylo Ren’s Helmet Has Been Repaired
Guys, can you believe that in a mere three months, after the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, we’ll never have to talk about this franchise again? Obviously just kidding, but hey, sometimes it feels like the film series has just become a way for a corporation to shove out content. However, after reading some tidbits about the upcoming pic and the most interesting character in the whole trilogy, Kylo Ren, my excitement is re-piqued.
The poor dark side acolyte has been an emotional mess lately. I mean, after losing a parent, who wouldn’t be? After seeing him re-masked with a repaired-but-cracked mask in the first teaser, though, it sparked many conversations. Sitting down with Empire magazine, J.J. Abrams, the director, shined some light into why they decided to bring back the Vader Lite Visor, saying:
“Having him be masked, but also fractured, is a very intentional thing. Like that classic Japanese process of taking ceramics and repairing them, and how the breaks in a way define the beauty of the piece as much as the original itself. As fractured as Ren is, the mask becomes a visual representation of that. There’s something about this that tells his history. His mask doesn’t ultimately hide him and his behavior is revealed.”
I like when a filmmaker actually has reasons behind decisions. It’s really neat and makes the whole piece feel more alive. That was the best part of The Force Awakens; the kinetic energy and genuine feeling of elation that the dang thing even existed, you know? The movie felt like a breath of fresh air.
It really seems like Disney isn’t trying to hype this one up as much, though. Going overboard on Force Awakens promo makes sense, and pushing Last Jedi hard also makes sense, since that was a very odd film. It just seems like after Solo tanking and projections for Rise of the Skywalker being lower than either of the last two though, the House of Mouse may very well be locking it down and cutting their loses. Their poor, sweet losses of…negative money. I guess making billions ain’t enough, right?
I’m sincerely hoping J.J. and writer Chris Terrio know what they’re doing with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and that Disney is just being overly cautious. But we’ll all find out for sure on December 20th.
