Nintendo’s mobile Dr. Mario is coming out in a few weeks
Nintendo has announced the release date for its latest mobile game. Dr. Mario World will be available for iOS and Android on July 10th, with pre-registration now open on the iOS App Store and Google Play. The title was first revealed in January.
A new trailer posted today gives the first real look at the game, which appears to be pretty different from other versions of Dr. Mario. Instead of managing capsules as they fall down the screen Tetris-style, Dr. Mario World sees you drag them directly onto the pre-arranged play field.
The game also has typical free-to-play mobile trappings like countdown timers and multiple currencies, but a puzzle game like Dr. Mario might at least be a better fit for that sort of thing than Mario Kart, which...

New Petition Asks Marvel To Cast Keanu Reeves As The MCU’s Wolverine
Keanu Reeves’ career has been on a “most excellent” upswing over the past few years. The actor, who spent most of his post-Matrix days awkwardly showing up in romantic comedies or starring in widely panned genre movies (47 Ronin anyone?), surprised everyone with the fantastic 2014 action flick John Wick. Now, just five years and two sequels later, he’s become a Hollywood darling once again, with many calling for him to join the MCU or DCEU.
In a recent Interview with BuzzFeed, the actor was actually asked which Marvel or DC hero he’d want to bring to life and sure enough, he had an answer ready:
“When I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine. So, Wolverine.”
Of course, the internet was totally into the idea of seeing Reeves as the iconic mutant and now, as expected, a petition has sprung up on Change.org calling for Marvel to cast him. Here’s how it reads:
It is my firm belief that after his very wholesome public actions you may have seen on the internet, the Box Office would blow up with a Keanu Reeves Wolverine standalone movie, or a future X-Men movie in Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe of movies, as I also believe he is one of the only actors in the world capable enough to portray Wolverine after Hugh Jackman’s portrayal.
Given that this petition has only just begun, it hasn’t exactly racked up very many signatures, but it’s quickly starting to spread and we imagine once more people catch wind of it, it’ll start to blow up – as these things often do. After all, Reeve is a terrific choice for Wolverine and with his career exploding right now, Marvel would be wise to snatch him up.
Then again, they may have already done so, just for another film. Rumors are pointing to Keanu having a role in The Eternals, though that remains unconfirmed. Meanwhile, we also know that the studio eyed him for Captain Marvel before Jude Law eventually took on the part of Yon-Rogg.
Suffice it to say, Kevin Feige and co. are clearly interested in working with him, and if for some reason the rumors have it wrong and he’s not set to appear in The Eternals, then we’d certainly be alright with seeing Keanu Reeves as the next Wolverine. Would you?

Adam Warlock Will Likely Debut In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, Casting News On The Way
Ever since that post-credits scene at the end of Guardians 2, fans have been eager to see Adam Warlock make his long-awaited debut in the MCU. The golden hero was originally theorized to appear in Avengers: Infinity War after Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha of the Sovereign created him but, though IW’s writers have revealed they toyed with the idea, it didn’t happen. The wait may soon be over, though, as all the signs are pointing to Him arriving in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
User TheMarvelScoopMaster has been dropping a lot of intriguing info on Reddit of late. Recently, he spilled that Marvel is looking to start production on the cosmic threequel in February 2020. Alongside this, the Redditor confirmed that he believes Adam will debut in the movie. Plus, he gave us a window for when to expect the character to be cast: this November.
“[Adam Warlock] is coming and it looks like in GOTG 3. Casting will start in Nov so expect more news then.”
When it comes to casting Adam, fans have a number of top contenders. Rumors say that Zac Efron might be in the running for the part, something most aren’t opposed to. Then there’s fan art depicting everyone from Alexander Skarsgard to Game of Thrones‘ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the role. Knowing how these things often work, though, it’ll likely end up being someone fans never even considered. Much like Chris Pratt landing the Star-Lord gig back in the day.
When he does arrive, Adam will no doubt prove important to the cosmic side of the MCU going forward, as Marvel is expected to be splitting their focus in two in Phase Four – with the space-set movies having their own story arc and the ground-level stuff doing the same. And Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will kick off the former when it (reportedly) arrives in 2021.

Men In Black: International Apparently Had Big Production Troubles
Men in Black: International debuted last week and, instead of being the successful relaunch of the sci-fi action-comedy franchise we were expecting, it ended up having an embarrassingly low opening weekend gross. Besides that, reviews weren’t kind and it currently sits at just 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. But what went so wrong for the soft reboot starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson?
You might not be surprised by the answer, as it’s one of the oldest in the book: apparently, MIB: I had some big production troubles behind the scenes. The Hollywood Reporter has cast light on the situation in a new article, revealing that director F. Gary Gray almost walked away from the movie several times during filming. The reason is because he supposedly clashed with producer Walter Parkes.
While Gray was trying to make the pic he wanted, Parkes allegedly pushed for massive script rewrites, leading to Hemsworth and Thompson bringing on board their own dialogue writers to lend a hand. Ultimately, once production had wrapped, it was up to Sony to decide who they were going to side with. THR says that the studio tested Gray’s cut and Parkes’ cut to audiences, before ultimately picking the producer’s edit. This is the one you’ll see in theaters.
THR presses, though, that Men in Black: International wasn’t a Dark Phoenix-type scenario and never went through extensive reshoots that completely reshaped the movie. In this case, it’s just that all the issues were focused during the process of principal photography. All this might explain why the fourth entry in the series has been uniformly criticized for being uneven and thin on the ground.
Men in Black: International opened to a paltry $28.5 million, which hardly seems enough to make this the franchise restart it was intended to be. Looks like Sony might have to use the neuralizer on the film and reboot again in a few years.

Here’s How Jason Momoa Could Look As Sabretooth In The X-Men Reboot
The X-Men will soon jump over to the MCU now that Marvel has the rights back. Fans often talk about who could play the usual suspects in the franchise – Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, etc. – but let’s not forget that the studio has also got their hands on all those other X-characters that Fox has been wasting. Case in point: Sabretooth, Wolverine’s nemesis. Who could portray him in the MCU, though? Well, why not Jason Momoa?
Boss Logic recently shared an amazing piece of art which casts the Aquaman actor as Victor Creed. He writes in the caption on his Instagram post that fans had asked him to do something with Momoa as Wolverine, but he personally thinks the star would be a better fit for Creed. And after looking at what he came up with, it’s hard to disagree with him.
Sabretooth first appeared on screen in 2000’s X-Men. Tyler Mane looked the part in the role, but there wasn’t much to the character. In contrast, Liev Screiber’s version was totally different in appearance to his comic book counterpart but was a superior all-round portrayal. In fact, he’s one of the few highlights of 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Schreiber was originally supposed to cameo in 2017’s Logan as well, but his guest spot was ultimately written out of Hugh Jackman’s X-Men swansong.
As Creed has been so underused in the Fox franchise, then, it might be smart for Marvel to focus on that character over some of the other villains we’ve seen a lot of before now (*cough* Magneto *cough*). Plus, Momoa nearly landed an MCU role a few years back, as he was in the running to play Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Of course, his continued ties to the DC universe could prevent him from playing another major superhero role, but what do you think? Would Jason Momoa be a good fit for Sabretooth? Have your say in the comments section below.
