Apple’s bigger iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard weighs more than a MacBook Air
Apple announced its new Magic Keyboard with trackpad for the iPad Pro last month, but the company has so far refused to reveal the weight of the accessory that’s now shipping to customers. We finally have an answer, thanks to a MacRumors forum poster (via 9to5Mac) who received a Magic Keyboard over the weekend. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard weigh in at 3 pounds (1362 grams), more than the 2.8 pounds (1290 grams) of the 13-inch MacBook Air but the same as the 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Much of the bulk of the Magic Keyboard is there to accommodate viewing angles and balance the iPad Pro’s weight. Apple didn’t originally design the iPad with keyboard and trackpad support as key features, so the company has had to add them on later.

Facebook will expand its symptom tracking survey globally to measure the spread of COVID-19
Two weeks after beginning to survey users about disease symptoms in an effort to track the spread of COVID-19, Facebook said Monday that early results showed promise — and that the effort will roll out internationally beginning Wednesday. Carnegie Mellon University, which conducts the survey, said that 150,000 people a day are now submitting symptom reports after clicking on a link in the News Feed. The university does not share any information about symptoms back to Facebook.
In an op-ed in the Washington Post, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that initial findings shared by Carnegie Mellon correlate with public data about confirmed cases of COVID-19, an important signal that symptom surveys will soon be able to forecast the disease’s...

LG teases new 5G Velvet phone with ‘raindrop’ camera
LG has released a short teaser trailer for its upcoming Velvet smartphone that gives us a clearer look at its design, which is a refreshing change from LG’s recent devices like the V60. The trailer also confirms it will run on a Snapdragon 5G 765 processor, which is a step down from Qualcomm’s current flagship, the Snapdragon 865.
The company has already announced key details about the Velvet’s design over the past fortnight, but the new trailer gives us a better idea of how it’ll look in the real-world. There’s a cascading triple-camera array on the rear arranged into what LG is calling a “raindrop” design, and although the main camera is still raised from the back of the device, it’s very different from the large camera-bumps that are...

Here’s what iPhone 12’s Smaller Notch will look like
Apple was first to resort to notches, an oddity that was somehow zealously embraced by Android OEMs. These cutouts on Android phones have consistently shrunk over the last two years and have now been mostly reduced to varying punch hole sizes. Apple, however, has to fit in many pieces of equipment and sophisticated Face ID […]

The OnePlus 8 series is much cheaper in India than the US
OnePlus announced the 8 and 8 Pro phones early last week, but didn’t share pricing information for India, one of its most important markets. Now we have the numbers, and the new phones could be a lot more competitive than you might have thought based on the US prices, which pushed the brand into flagship territory.
In a tweet, OnePlus says that the 8 series will begin at Rs. 41,999, or about $550. The base price for the OnePlus 8 is $699 in the US. Per Android Central, however, there’s a slight catch to that comparison — the entry-level model in India appears to be exclusive to the market, and has 6GB of RAM compared to 8GB. It’ll also only be available on Amazon.
Still, the Indian prices are lower throughout the lineup. The 8GB/128GB...

James Gunn Reveals His Favorite Superhero Movie Ever
To say that the last few years have been interesting for director/writer James Gunn would be a bit of an understatement. A year after his latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, released in theaters, Disney cut ties with Gunn after it came to light that he posted several tweets between 2008 and 2012 which joked about a variety of sensitive subjects, including rape, pedophilia, and child abuse. Not only was he fired from directing the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but he was also removed as a key figure working on Marvel’s line of space-centric superhero films.
However, things turned around last year, when Disney re-established their relationship with Gunn — he was reinstated as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which he’ll begin working on after he wraps up production on the Suicide Squad reboot. James also stepped back into the limelight, resuming his activity on social media and making public appearances at conventions and the like. Recently, as reported by ComicBook.com, Gunn took part in an Instagram question and answer session, and he was asked what his favorite superhero movie was.
If you were banking on him picking one of the MCU’s two dozen films, you’re going to be a bit disappointed. In the end, he chose Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. This one might not come as much of a surprise to some, seeing as how it was one of the most popular superhero movies of the past few years, winning over the hearts and minds of critics and fans alike. We’re not entirely sure what the reason behind James Gunn’s pick was, but if you’ve seen the movie for yourself, you can probably relate to his choice.

Watch: Dwayne Johnson Makes His DCEU Debut In Black Adam Fan Trailer
There’s not a single in-development film or TV show out there that hasn’t been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Or so it seems.
In just a few short months, the virus has grounded flights, seen major events cancelled and forced most of the world into lockdown. So, it’s not too surprising to see one project after another get hit with a delay, and the standalone Black Adam movie is no different.
The DCEU pic, which still has Dwayne Johnson set to star – yes, even after all these years and years of false hope and non-starts – was originally set to begin filming in the coming weeks. But now, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, production has been pushed back well into the summer.
And so, the wait to see The Rock suit up continues. But thankfully, we’ve got a new fan trailer this week from the talented StryderHD which gives us a taste of what it might look like when it happens. And you can catch it up above.
Though a bit shaky in parts, this is still another impressive effort from the YouTuber that at least gives us some sort of idea of how Dwayne Johnson will look in his DCEU debut. But it’s still safe to say that fans are beyond eager to get something official. Even just a still of him in costume would send folks wild.
After all, we’ve been waiting a long, long, long time to see this happen and Black Adam has been in the works for what seems like an eternity. But rest assured folks, it is coming, and The Rock is still attached. All we need to do now is just pray the coronavirus dies down a bit and they can get cameras rolling before the year’s out. Fingers crossed.

James Gunn Reveals Where The Suicide Squad Is Set On DCEU Timeline
The DCEU isn’t too worried about interconnectivity anymore, with most of its movies existing in their bubbles at this point, but there is a common thread running through Birds of Prey and the upcoming The Suicide Squad. And that’s Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Slightly unexpectedly, her recent all-girl team-up movie didn’t sow the seeds for the Task Force X sequel, so fans have wondered if it actually takes place prior to BoP in the timeline.
Writer/director James Gunn has all but spelled it out for us, though. In one of his regular Q&As with fans on Instagram, the filmmaker was asked last night whether his movie takes place after Birds of Prey. Gunn didn’t dive into the ins and outs of it, but he did say: “TSS takes place in the year it comes out.” In other words, yes. By the sounds of it, Birds is first in the timeline and then comes TSS.
Gunn likely isn’t going into details though as it would spoil his own film. When we last saw Harley, she had done her bit in defeating Black Mask and drove off into the sunset with her new protege in crime, Cassandra Cain. It’s not currently believed that Cain will show up in TSS, so there will presumably be a scene early on that explains how the Clown Princess is captured by Amanda Waller’s goons and pressganged into doing her dirty work again.
We got a look at Robbie back as Harley via set photos taken during the shoot in Panama, revealing the anti-heroine’s comics-inspired new look in what will be her third cinematic outing. This time around, she’ll be joined by the likes of Idris Elba’s Vigilante, John Cena’s Peacemaker, Daniela Melchior’s Ratcatcher and David Dastmalchian’s Polka-Dot Man. Well, we’re pretty sure that’s who they’re playing, at least.
Elsewhere in this Q&A, the director confirmed we will see some footage from The Suicide Squad this year, ahead of its release in theaters on August 6th, 2021. Watch this space for more.
