Microsoft is no longer planning to release its special Surface Hub 2X processor upgrade cartridge this year. The software giant was planning to allow Surface Hub 2S owners to upgrade to this cartridge, improving the processor and GPU inside. It was also part of how Microsoft would enable tiling and rotation support on the Surface Hub 2, a big feature the company originally unveiled last year.
In a leaked webinar to Surface Hub 2 sellers, Microsoft says it’s still committed to developing tiling and rotation but it’s not clear when these features will arrive. “They might not require an upgrade for Surface Hub 2S customers, or they might not require a paid compute cartridge swap,” says a Microsoft spokesperson in the webinar. “We don’t have...
Apple has started offering a new repair service where one of its authorized service providers will come to your home or office to repair your device. The service, which was first spotted by MacRumors, can be accessed through Apple’s support site, where under certain circumstances you’ll now see an onsite repair option in addition to the existing instore and mail-in services. “In select locations, onsite service may be available,” Apple’s support page reads.
The repairs are being offered via Go Tech Services, whose website lists it as an Apple Authorized Service Provider. At present, the company’s website says its repair services can only be booked via Apple’s support site.

The upper mid-range or under 40K segment has been a challenging space for Samsung, and that’s exactly what the South-Korean giant wants to resolve from the very start of 2020. MediaTek is highly active in rolling out new chipsets one after the other. The latest release is the MediaTek G80, which would be a midrange-pleaser from their ‘G’ lineup. Hierarchy-wise, this would fall in between the MediaTek G90 and G70. However, this is said to be a refinement over the G70 chip, that launched just […]

It’s best to think of the Super Bowl as the Content Bowl; brands try to outdo each other with celebrity power, attempts at creating viral moments, and trailers for the biggest movies. This year, that included TikTok.
TikTok aired a 30-second Super Bowl commercial during the game, leaning into the realness of its creator base. The tagline at the end of the video suggests TikTok is “real athletes, real fans, and real videos.” The spot celebrated the short videos people take of going a “little extra during a touchdown” or the quirky things friends do when they hang out, giving a glimpse into the social media platform that is quickly dominating the world. If that wasn’t enough to sell just how much cache TikTok has amassed in just over a...

Marvel Studios used its big Super Bowl advertising spot to quickly tease three upcoming Disney+ series: Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, and WandaVision.
There wasn’t much footage from any of the series, but there was enough glimpses to tease fans. The Falcon and the Winter Solider saw Anthony Mackie’s Sam “Falcon” Wilson pick up Captain America’s shield and maneuver around with it. The series picks up where that arc ended, as Steve Rogers’ best friends try to navigate a world he’s no longer in. The show brings back Mackie’s Wilson and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky “Winter Solider” Barnes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Avengers: Endgame ended with Steve Rogers handing over his Captain America shield to Sam. The teaser also showed a glimpse...

He might be the current Bond, James Bond, but that won’t be the case for too much longer. While Daniel Craig has held onto the role of the iconic secret agent for well over a decade now, he’s set to say goodbye to the beloved hero with No Time To Die, his fifth outing as the super spy.
If we’re being honest, the actor’s time in the franchise has been a mixed bag, but we’re hopeful that he’ll go out in glory when his last Bond film arrives in theaters this April. So far, the signs are all pretty positive, but just to remind everyone that 007 is on his way back to the big screen in just a few months’ time, Sony dropped a new trailer during the Super Bowl tonight, offering up teases of what looks to be some thrilling set pieces, well choreographed action and, of course, tons of gadgets and girls. Indeed, it’s the Bond we all know and love, and we can’t wait to see what the studio’s got cooked up for us with the upcoming blockbuster.
While Craig might be hogging most the spotlight here, we also know that a number of his supporting cast members from Spectre will be returning, too. You’ve got the MI6 gang, for one – that’s Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner) and Ben Whishaw (Q) – while Lea Seydoux is also back as Madeline Swann. And let’s not forget Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, who’s showing up for the first time since 2008’s Quantum of Solace.
Of course, it’s no secret that the film has had a bumpy road to the big screen and as such, there’s a lot of pressure on Bond 25 to deliver the goods. Especially since it’s Craig’s final time in the role. And while the buzz surrounding the pic has been a bit mixed so far, we’re feeling cautiously optimistic that No Time To Die will still provide a fitting swansong for the actor and send him off on a positive note.
Though James Gunn is currently in the midst of filming next year’s Suicide Squad sequel, the director recently took the time to answer a few questions via Instagram about the other comic book ensemble movie on his agenda, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Of course, with this being a Marvel film and all, Gunn’s answers were generally vague and spoiler-free, but he did offer some confirmation about the place of his upcoming threequel on the MCU timeline. When asked if Vol. 3 will take place before or after last year’s Avengers: Endgame, the filmmaker replied with a simple, “After.”
Not the most surprising revelation, perhaps, but it’s still nice to get some official clarification that Vol. 3 won’t be filling the three-year gap between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (set in 2014) and Avengers: Infinity War (set in 2017), but will instead follow the team from when we last saw them.
As you may recall, Endgame brought some significant changes to the core line-up of Gunn’s ongoing space saga. For one thing, it looks like series regular Gamora is no longer part of the crew, though we can probably assume that the new, alternate reality version of the heroine will somehow factor into the film.
What’s more, the final minutes of Endgame seemed to suggest that Thor had joined the gang, though it remains to be seen if he’ll stick around long enough to feature in Vol. 3.
In any case, Gunn’s Q&A yielded a few more insights from the director, who said that the events of Infinity War and Endgame didn’t force him to alter his script for Vol. 3, and that the film is expected to wrap up the main plotlines of the Guardians trilogy.
Seeing how Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has yet to even begin shooting, there’ll be plenty of time for further details, but first, we’ll see how Gunn handles The Suicide Squad when his DCEU debut hits theaters on August 6th, 2021.
