The Amazon Dash button was a physical interface to digital shopping

In today’s digital age, it can sometimes feel like hardware has taken a back seat to the software that drives devices. Button of the Month is a column that looks at some of these buttons and switches on devices both old and new to appreciate how we interact with our devices on a physical, tactile level.

Shopping on Amazon is a vastly digital experience. Until the last few years, there hasn’t been a physical way to go and buy things from Amazon. For the overwhelming majority of Amazon purchases, there’s still no checkout lane, no aisles to browse, no physical interactions at all — famously, the company’s “One Click” software removes nearly all barriers between wanting something and buying it.

Amazon’s now-defunct Dash buttons — small,...

New Avengers: Endgame LEGO Sets Launch With Tons Of Spoilers

With less than four weeks to go until the release of Avengers: Endgame, a new range of LEGO sets are now available for pre-order. And in the various action scenes presented, there may be a few things to learn about the upcoming flick.

For those who’ve been keeping track of LEGO leaks in recent months, some of these products will already be familiar. One we’ve seen previously, for example, is the set featuring Captain America fighting Outriders in a heavily armed motorcycle. And speaking of new machinery, the “War Machine Buster” set shows James Rhodes operating a colossal suit of armor while Ant-Man runs around his feet.

Meanwhile, Iron Man also looks to be fending off Outriders in the Armor Room set, whereas Rocket, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye are all fighting Chitauri in the “Avengers Ultimate Quinjet” package. However, the biggest spectacle teased in these releases is surely the “Avengers Compound Battle,” which shows Hulk, Ant-Man, Nebula, Iron Man and Captain Marvel facing off against Thanos and one of his Outriders.

While it remains to be seen just how faithful each of these sets are to the film itself, the latest trailer offers further evidence that a fight at the HQ could be on the agenda. In particular, the preview contained footage of a shrunk-down Ant-Man navigating the wreckage of an office environment, and in one shot, we even see what appears be to an explosion blooming in a sector of the building.

We’ll find out what else is in store for our heroes when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th. In the meantime, we can expect plenty more potentially revealing merchandise to come our way in these next few weeks.

Avengers: Endgame Funko Pop! Figures Reveal A New Costume For Hulk

We didn’t get to see much of the Hulk in Avengers: Infinity War. After a thrilling battle with the Mad Titan in the opening minutes, the beating of a lifetime he received resulted in the Green Goliath refusing to return when Banner needed him most. It’s still unclear how Bruce plans to convince his other half to show up again in next month’s sequel, but the Jade Giant is bound to make a big return in Avengers: EndgameAnd when he does, we’ll be seeing him in some new attire.

Though we’ve already caught glimpses of it in leaked promo art and what not before now, Funko has today revealed their Pop! figures for the film and among many other things, they show off two new suits for the Hulk. One is obviously his Quantum Realm outfit, which is the same as the one that the other heroes sport, but the other is what’s drawing most of the attention here. Sporting a sleek silver pattern with a little purple – probably a nod to the hero’s classic purple pants – it’s an interesting look, even if we’re not entirely sure what it’ll be used for and when the character will don it.

Regardless, it’s nice to see that the Green Goliath will be more involved in Endgame after he didn’t get much to do in Infinity War. After all, given that this could be his final outing in the MCU, we’re hopeful that Joe and Anthony Russo will make up for his lack of screentime in the last film.

As for what role Bruce Banner and his alter ego may play in the fight against Thanos, that we don’t know, but if Endgame does indeed take the Professor Hulk route as we all suspect it will, then that seems like as good a way as any to conclude the character’s journey. Aside from Bruce’s inner turmoil, the only other loose end that the movie would need to address is his relationship with Black Widow, though given that their romantic subplot was always one of the weaker elements of the franchise, most fans probably wouldn’t care if the Russos only gave this development from Avengers: Age of Ultron a brief nod.

In any case, we’ll find out what fate awaits the Hulk – and just where he got his snazzy new costume from – in a few more weeks, as Avengers: Endgame lands in theaters on April 26th.
