Dwayne Johnson And Gal Gadot React To Red Notice Fight Scene

Netflix opted to kick off the weekend’s TUDUM event in explosive style, roping in the world’s biggest movie star to unveil a brand new clip from the platform’s most expensive project yet, showcasing a fight scene between a trio of massively popular A-listers. If you weren’t aware already; Red Notice is a huge deal.

Written and directed by Dodgeball and Skyscraper‘s Rawson Marshall Thurber, the high concept actioner follows Johnson’s FBI profiler John Hartley, who finds himself caught up in a globetrotting adventure full of twists and turns that pits him alongside and opposite Ryan Reynolds’ conman Nolan Booth and Gal Gadot’s art thief Sarah Black.

The TUDUM teaser offered the winning blend of action, comedy and quips audiences will be expecting from Red Notice, and as you can see below, two of the three leads shared their thoughts on the footage with their millions of social media followers.

Reynolds also uploaded the clip to YouTube with the title “We Tried to Fight Gal Gadot”, so the central trio are clearly going all-in when it comes to raising Red Notice awareness. The film comes to Netflix on November 12th, where it stands a great chance of becoming the streamer’s most-watched original feature ever.

James McAvoy Addresses A Potential Return As Professor X

The rumor mill swirling around Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has seen the name Charles Xavier crop up on a regular basis, whether it’s a brief cameo appearance or a full-blown supporting part introducing the Illuminati into the mix. One thing the speculation can’t seem to agree on, though, is who’ll end up reprising their X-Men role.

A recently leaked image that purportedly revealed a previz of Patrick Stewart generated no shortage of buzz on the internet, but we’ve also heard on more than one occasion that it’ll be James McAvoy dropping by Sam Raimi’s superhero sequel. Of course, it could always end up being neither of them, but in a new interview with Collider, the younger iteration of the comic book icon revealed his thoughts on returning as the X-Men founder.

“I feel like I got to explore, not everything I wanted to explore, because there’s always more, surely, but I got to explore a ton of Professor X, and I feel quite satisfied with what I got out of him as a performer. It’s not to say that you don’t ever want to, you never want to come back, and you never want to do it again, and all that kind of stuff. You never say never, as I believe James Bond once said. But I’m not chomping at the bit. I’m not going to be gutted and desperately sad if it never happens again.”

That’s the standard ‘never say never’ response we hear from almost any actor to have shown up in a multi-billion blockbuster series, so it’s hard to glean much information from McAvoy’s answer. He was exactly as solid as you’d expect across the most recent X-Men movies, even if Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix marked a relatively disappointing end to what remains one of cinema’s highest-grossing franchises.

As always, then, we’ll just have to wait until Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes to theaters next March before we find out the identity of the movie’s surprise guests, of which dozens upon dozens of potential candidates have been touted.

Black Panther Star Reveals His Hopes For The Future Of The Franchise

He may have been killed off in the first installment, but that doesn’t mean Andy Serkis won’t be keeping a close eye on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as it moves through production, and ultimately hits theaters in July of next year.

The actor’s Ulysses Klaue allowed him to deliver a broad, over-the-top performance as the movie’s resident nefarious arms dealer, a role that he recently reprised with relish in Marvel’s What If…?. Even if Klaue had survived the events of Black Panther, there’s no guarantee Serkis would have even been available for the sequel given his jam-packed schedule.

The 57 year-old has his third directorial effort Venom: Let There Be Carnage coming to theaters on Friday, while Matt Reeves’ The Batman lands in March 2022. On top of that, he’s got Taika Waititi’s sports comedy Next Goal Wins, literary adaptation No One Gets Out Alive and Netflix’s Luther movie on the horizon, so free time is at a premium.

In a new interview with i09, Serkis revealed his hopes for the future of the Black Panther franchise, from Wakanda Forever and beyond.

“Wakanda as a world, as a place, as a philosophy is such an extraordinary thing. So I’m really excited to see how it evolves, how it unfolds. Obviously, it’s very, very sad in the wake of Chadwick Boseman’s departure, but I’m sure that the story will go some way to memorialize such an extraordinary performance and such an incredible actor and person in that movie.”

Danai Gurira’s Okoye is already signed to headline the spinoff series in development for Disney Plus, so the Black Panther mythology continues to expand on multiple fronts. Wakanda Forever is going to be as emotional as it is bittersweet, but Ryan Coogler and his crew will be looking to exceed the sky-high expectations.
