‘Spider-Man’ fans are offering their controversial hot takes on Twitter
Twitter has been bombarded this weekend by fans ranking every Spider-Man movie from best to worst, and it’s even roped in people like Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad director James Gunn to weigh in with their two cents.
For the most part, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 and the animated Into the Spider-Verse have been racking up the most victories, but it’s also led to some heated debate about the friendly neighborhood superhero’s back catalogue. In the world of social media, positivity is almost always followed by negativity, and a single viral tweet has managed to stir the pot.

A chilly animated movie is warming itself up on the Netflix most-watched list
Nobody’s going to deny that Disney have cornered the animated market, which has been the case for decades, with the company’s Walt Disney Animation and Pixar subsidiaries constantly churning out a procession of critical and commercial smash hits.
That’s not to say that everyone else has been left playing catch-up, with Sony Pictures Animation, Illumination Entertainment and DreamWorks putting out some great stuff. The latter outfit have found massive success with the Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon and Madagascar franchises, but outside of those three, the studio has admittedly struggled for consistency.

‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ director teases the return of a familiar villain
For fans of the franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a winning combination of a trip down memory lane and an expansion of the franchise, placing a new family at the center of the story while tying itself directly to the events of the 1984 original.
Almost every single strand of the plot was connected to the first film in some fashion, whether it be cameos from a multitude of legacy cast members, references to events that unfolded in New York City or the villains being more than familiar to audiences that have seen the supernatural comedy classic ten times over.

A star-studded awards season favorite is winning more acclaim on Netflix
Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women has been adapted for the big screen no less than seven times, but there’s one recurring theme that’s defined each spin on the source material, whether we’re talking about the 1917 silent version or the critically acclaimed 2019 movie.
By accident, design or obligation, the ensemble is destined to feature either a handful of big names, or fast-rising talents who will eventually take their seat at the top of the Hollywood table. Former Little Women alumni include legendary director George Cukor, Katharine Hepburn, Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor, Janet Leigh, Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Christian Bale and more, with the theme continuing in Greta Gerwig’s recent awards season favorite.

Tom Ford compares ‘House of Gucci’ to ‘Saturday Night Live’
On top of being one of the most prominent names in modern fashion, Tom Ford is also an accomplished filmmaker, having written and directed A Single Man and Nocturnal Animals, both of which won hugely positive reviews from critics and landed some awards season recognition.
Before launching his own brand, Ford was the creative director at Gucci, a position he held from 1994 to 2004. That places him right in the middle of the story being told in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, where he’s played by Reeve Carney, star of Penny Dreadful and infamous stage show Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark.
