Luke And Leia Return On New Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Poster

There are two characters who haven’t featured prominently in the marketing for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerfor obvious reasons. Both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa are set to return in Episode IX yet either haven’t been seen in the flesh in the trailers (Luke) or have been absent from previous posters (Luke and Leia). But this new IMAX one-sheet for the movie makes a change and includes them alongside leads Rey and Kylo Ren.

The official IMAX Twitter account debuted the poster this evening, encouraging folks to book tickets to see one of the film events of the year – the decade? – in the highest quality. As you can see in the gallery below, the epic two-tone poster has Daisy Ridley’s heroine front and center, with Adam Driver’s villain in the top right. On either side of Rey are two of her mentors, Leia (the much-missed Carrie Fisher) and Luke (Mark Hamill).

The last time we saw Luke, he nobly sacrificed himself by distracting Kylo Ren with a powerful Force projection in order to allow the Resistance to escape the Battle of Crait. In the grand tradition of Jedi masters, though, he’ll return in Rise as a Force ghost. We’ve heard him intoning some words of wisdom to Rey in the trailers, telling her “confronting fear is a Jedi’s destiny. Your destiny.” It seems Luke has regained his former spirit and faith now that he’s become one with the Force.

As for Leia, Fisher sadly passed away prior to shooting but, as you probably know, unused footage filmed for The Force Awakens has been re-utilized to allow the Resistance general/former princess of Alderaan to feature in the conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. From what we’ve heard about her role in it, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker should offer a fitting and moving farewell to the iconic character and actress.

Zack Snyder Shares Awesome New Batman Photo From His Justice League Cut

It seems that the buzz surrounding the Snyder Cut of Justice League isn’t going away anytime soon. The movement has been dominating social media to mark the two-year anniversary of the movie’s theatrical release, and seems to be gaining more momentum than ever before. Snyder himself has been the ringleader, sharing countless images from his original vision of the superhero blockbuster in an effort to continue drumming up support.

The filmmaker has been backed by many members of the cast, too, including Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, while Aquaman star Jason Momoa even claims to have seen the Snyder Cut in its entirety. While there’ve been conflicting reports about how close the unfinished version of Justice League is to actually being completed, Snyder has regardless told fans not to lose hope just yet.

As he’s been doing for a long time now, he’s now shared yet another black-and-white image from Justice League, and as you can see below, the photo shows Ben Affleck’s Batman leaping into action in a shot that would’ve likely featured heavily in the movie’s marketing campaign.

With HBO Max set to be the most likely destination for the Snyder Cut should it ever actually be finished, the company has been bombarded by fan demands on Twitter for months now, indicating that the campaign will continue until a definitive answer is finally given as to whether or not it will ever see the light of day.

The Snyder Cut of Justice League will be an expensive undertaking should it ever be approved, with the studio probably delaying their final decision until they can figure out how to make the most profit out of it. Until then, it seems that Zack Snyder will continue to tease the fans with unreleased images until Warner Bros. finally relent and let him finish and release the movie that he’d been planning all along.

This USB-C battery that can fully charge a 15-inch MacBook Pro is $100 for Black Friday

Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge

In May, we introduced you to high-wattage USB-C PD external batteries that can charge a full-size laptop on the go — not just a phone — and the $150 Zendure SuperTank was one of our top picks thanks to its (relatively) compact size and price. But for Black Friday, the SuperTank is now more affordable than it’s been since its Kickstarter campaign — just $100.99 after coupon code at Amazon.

For the price, you’ll get a 27,000mAh (roughly 100Wh) capacity — enough to fully charge a 15-inch MacBook Pro, and most of the 16-inch MacBook Pro’s larger battery too — and the ability to charge several gadgets at once with one 100W USB-C port, one 60W USB-C port, one 18W USB-A port, and one 15W USB-A port.

Kevin Hart Wants A Role In Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have struck up quite the dynamic in recent years, with the two completely opposite-sized movie stars appearing together in Central Intelligence, Hobbs & Shaw, Jumanji and the upcoming sequel The Next Level. The two are close friends off-screen as well and are constantly poking fun at each other on social media, while Johnson even stepped in to cover some of Hart’s media engagements when the latter was injured in a serious car crash.

It seems that they’re always looking for their next project as a duo, and with Johnson finally set to make his superhero debut in the title role of DC and Warner Bros.’ Black Adam, the world’s highest-paid movie star is facing some pressure from his diminutive buddy to get him a role in the comic book blockbuster.

During a recent interview to promote Jumanji: The Next Level, Hart was asked if he was interested in landing a part in Black Adam, and the 40 year-old was quick to respond.

“We’ve already discussed it. We talked about it earlier, so we’re finding that out. No matter what, he’s not going to do it and not put me in it. How selfish would that be?”

Hart’s comments are obviously tongue-in-cheek, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him feature in a small cameo role, similar to how he appeared in Hobbs & Shaw, although rumors indicate that he figures more heavily in the sequel. Black Adam has been in development with Johnson set to star for over a decade, but only in the last few months has the project started to gather any serious momentum.

However, with a release date locked in and the movie now deep in pre-production, a star with the clout that Johnson has shouldn’t find it too much trouble to bring one of his closest friends in to shoot a scene or two.

Keanu Reeves’ Crazy Schedule May End Up Delaying John Wick: Chapter Four

As one of the most popular stars in the movie business, one that’s enjoying a huge career renaissance after a recent string of critical and commercial hits, Keanu Reeves is arguably more in demand now than at any other point in his decades-long Hollywood career.

In 2019 alone, the 55 year-old has starred in the hugely successful third installment in the John Wick franchise, voiced a character in Pixar’s billion-dollar smash Toy Story 4, sent himself up twice thanks to cameo appearances in Netflix comedies Always Be My Maybe and Between Two Ferns: The Movie, and even popped up in the trailer for the next Spongebob Squarepants movie.

Next up on the slate for the actor is long-awaited sequel Bill & Ted Face the Music, which sees him returning as Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan for the first time since 1991’s Bogus Journey. After that, Reeves will move on to another belated sequel as the fourth entry in The Matrix franchise gears up for pre-production.

If you’re wondering where that leaves John Wick, which has Chapter Four set for May 2021, then Lance Reddick, who co-stars in the action franchise as the Continental’s concierge Charon, may have some bad news. The actor admits that there isn’t even a script for the movie yet despite being just eighteen months away from release, which may end up with Keanu Reeves opting to shoot The Matrix 4 first depending on which project comes together quickest.

“Last I heard, there wasn’t a script yet but that was a month ago. I know they’re working on it but part of the problem in terms of scheduling now is that Keanu signed on to do The Matrix 4 and he has the new Bill & Ted coming up. He has three franchises he’s juggling, so I’m just not sure if he’s going to do The Matrix or John Wick next.”

Bill & Ted Face the Music is set for next August, just nine months before John Wick: Chapter Four hits theaters. If Reeves is set to hit the promotional trail for the former, then it seems more likely that he’d be able to fit the latter into his schedule a lot easier than the complex and effects-heavy Matrix 4. More Keanu Reeves is never a bad thing, though, and seeing the veteran action star hit a new lease of life on the big screen will no doubt keep the fans churning out memes for years to come.
