If you’re an avid coffee drinker and you’re toying with the idea of a zero-waste (or lower-waste) lifestyle, your first step should be bringing your own thermos or mug to your local java spot. Trading your daily paper to-go cup for a more eco-conscious reusable mug isn’t just about sustainability. Experts like Natalie Slavutsky of Brooklyn Diamond Coffee agree that coffee actually tastes better out of ceramic, glass, or stainless steel than paper or plastic. “You’re just getting a better cup of coffee than in a paper cup,” says Slavutsky.
If that doesn’t convince you to make a change, “many cafés reward customers who bring in reusable drink ware with a discount for helping them move towards being more sustainable,” says Allie Caran,...

With 20th Century Fox’s properties now sitting comfortably under the colossal umbrella that is The Walt Disney Company, Marvel Studios have finally gotten their hands back on a number of characters that have been absent from the MCU for far too long now – including Deadpool, the Fantastic Four and, of course, the X-Men.
All three properties will eventually be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it seems studio head Kevin Feige is in no rush to start the process. Which is to say that the script for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot will be fine-tuned and perfected before the House of Ideas begins casting. After all, after so many failed attempts to give the heroes a solid film in the past, they have to get it right this time.
And while casting has yet to formally begin, fans have already begun to put forth their ideal picks for who should play the Four and the very talented YouTuber known as Billy Crammer has edited together another incredible fan trailer. In a rather surprising turn of events, though, this one places Patrick Wilson in the lead role of Reed Richards – an inspired but unexpected pick. Meanwhile, fan favorite Emily Blunt is Sue Storm and, well, we won’t spoil anything else. Give it a watch in the player above though as it’s a very impress piece of work from Crammer which has us pretty hyped for the eventual reboot.
Of course, there’s no telling if Wilson and Blunt will end up in the film whenever it comes to fruition, but we know that the latter was recently in talks with the studio over an unknown role. What’s more, Blunt was also up for both Black Widow and Agent Carter back in the day. As such, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see her board the Fantastic Four reboot.
And as for Wilson? Well, as much as we enjoy him as an actor, the far more likely pick for Reed seems to be John Krasinski right now, who’s without a doubt the top choice amongst fans. Whatever ends up happening in regards to casting, though, Kevin Feige’s already promised that Marvel’s Fantastic Four movie will be better than Fox’s, and we certainly believe that.
After the box office success of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s Captain Marvel, most of us have long assumed that Carol Danvers’ MCU debut has a sequel on the way, but it wasn’t until last month that a report from THR finally confirmed that Captain Marvel 2 is in development.
Sure enough, according to Thomas Polito of Geeks WorldWide, Marvel Studios filed an LLC for “Warbird Productions II” on February 13th. And since the first Captain Marvel’s production went under the name “Warbird Productions,” it stands to reason that Carol’s second solo outing is now officially greenlit.
It’s been just under a year since Captain Marvel raked in over $153 million domestically on its first weekend. In the months that followed, the film would go on to gross a worldwide total of $1.128 billion, making it the highest grossing solo debut of the MCU to date, save for 2018’s Black Panther.
Seeing how Marvel superheroes have a tendency to do even better at the box office with their second solo outings, expectations are currently pretty high for Captain Marvel 2, even if official details remain in short supply.
One thing we did learn from the aforementioned THR report is that the movie will be set in present-day MCU, jumping over two decades forward from the events of the first film and presumably picking up where Avengers: Endgame left off.
What’s more, we know that WandaVision staff writer Megan McDonnell is handling the script, though Marvel is reportedly still looking for a female director to helm the project.
There’ll be plenty of time to learn more about Captain Marvel 2, which isn’t expected to hit theaters until 2022, but first, the MCU’s Phase 4 kicks off with the release of Black Widow on May 1st of this year.
One of the things that fueled the irrevocable breakdown of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship was the fact that his mother never supported their union, and the latter reportedly filed for divorce mere days after she passed away.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star was still coping with this loss when Heard filed for divorce on May 23rd, 2016, kickstarting a court battle that soon spiraled into a whirlwind of controversy for both parties. According to media reports, Depp’s mom and sisters, and even his two children from the previous marriage all hated Heard and even close friends advised against tying the knot with the Aquaman actress, with his mother also thinking that she was a gold digger who wanted to use Depp to boost her career.
As Rolling Stone reported back then:
“Depp’s inner circle had begged him to not wed Heard or to at least obtain a prenup. Depp ignored his loved ones’ advice,”
Now, the defamation lawsuit filed by Depp against Heard has once again brought this whole shenanigan into the spotlight, with new evidence exposing the London Fields actress for physically and emotionally abusing Depp throughout their messy and toxic relationship.
Obviously, Depp’s family never publicly said anything against the actress, but rumors of their negative opinion remained potent and Heard filing for divorce three days after Betty Sue Palmer passed away led to many people speculating if it was done on purpose, especially since some reports indicate that their relationship hit the point of no return when Depp moved his mom into his LA compound, which he shared with Heard.
Conversely, a source close to Heard previously told People magazine that the actress was a devoted daughter-in-law during Ms. Palmer’s illness, saying:
“Amber was by Betty Sue’s side during this illness and regularly visited her in the hospital.”
At any rate, we’ll never know the truth for sure. One thing’s for certain, though; these reports don’t paint the actress behind the DCEU’s Mera in a good light.
Meanwhile, the petition to remove Heard from Aquaman 2 recently hit its goal, but Warner Bros. has yet to react to the backlash surrounding the actress in the wake of the newly released audio clip, which proves she was physically violent towards Johnny Depp.
