While these last few weeks have proven unusually fruitful for Avengers: Endgame reveals, Marvel Studios remains characteristically stingy with actual footage from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel, meaning that a mere 30-second TV spot can prove more than sufficient in sending ripples through the fanbase.
Sure enough, though the preview that dropped during Super Bowl LIII didn’t give a whole lot away about Marvel’s Phase 3 finale, it’s clear that a lot of fans are liking what they see, taking to Twitter to share their responses to the new TV spot:
i’m sitting her bawling at this teaser
all of them are together and ready to fight and I have so much FAITH IN THEM.
i’m so fucking ready for this movie #AvengersEndgame

I hope this is the theme of the marketing from here on out…just straight up morose dread. Don't do a jokey 2nd trailer. Just more of this. #AvengersEndgame https://t.co/6MJnEEtoDz

As you can see above, the fresh footage, though short, did still offer its share of details on Anthony and Joe Russo’s next film. For one thing, it looks like Tony Stark and Nebula will be collaborating on a project, perhaps in an attempt to return home from Titan after the grim events of Infinity War. Among other things, the teaser also suggests that Captain America will be returning to his classic shield design after using an alternate, Wakandan variation on the prop in last year’s release.
No doubt fans will continue to comb through the video for further hints in the coming days, though it’s unlikely that the new TV spot will inspire quite as much speculation and debate as the first trailer, which continues to spawn theories on how Iron Man might escape his drift through space. As for when the next full trailer might come our way, that remains to be seen, though the 2019 Academy Awards ceremony that’s set to air later this month at least shows some potential. Regardless, all will be revealed when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
