A short new promo for Avengers: Endgame has just been released online and if you thought that March’s trailer relied too heavily on footage from previous MCU outings, then you probably won’t care much for this latest teaser for the film, which consists entirely of clips taken from past Marvel movies like The Avengers, Infinity War and more.
In fact, despite being a promo for Endgame, there’s not so much as a single second pulled from the upcoming sequel itself here, with the studio instead choosing the spotlight the trip that we’ve taken so far, while the text on the screen tells us that “every journey has an end.”
There also seems to be a rather large focus on Thor in this preview, with the God of Thunder featuring heavily in the clips. And given that he’s been on quite the journey himself over the course of his Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances, it certainly makes sense to center the above promo around him.
But enough of looking to the past, as the future of the MCU also has much to bring us. After Spider-Man: Far From Home has completed the franchise’s 2019 cinematic slate, it seems likely that the next feature on the schedule will be the Black Widow standalone flick. Cate Shortland’s spy movie is one of two Marvel films that are set to arrive in theaters in 2020, the second being Chloé Zhao’s The Eternals. After that, we’ve got Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2 and Shang-Chi to look forward to, and all three are thought to be aiming for 2021 release slots.
First up, though, is Avengers: Endgame, which will be with us on April 26th and is expected to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever.
