The next round of trade tariffs against China could be announced as soon as Monday or Tuesday, reports Reuters and The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials.
The WSJ notes that officials have said that the level will be around 10 percent when they go into effect in November, but that they could go up to 25 percent level if China doesn’t back down.
In August, the Trump administration levied a 25 percent tariff against $16 billion in Chinese goods. The tariffs went into effect on August 23rd, and included some electronics, chemicals, and batteries.
