New Amazon Listing May Be Teasing A Justice League Extended Cut

While we won’t be seeing the Snyder cut of Justice League any time soon, an extended version of the much-maligned supergroup feature just might be headed to home video in the fall.

According to an Amazon listing posted under the DC Cinematic subreddit – which you can check out below – it would appear that Justice League is set to be re-released on October 2nd. What’s more, the electronic commerce retailer has the official runtime clocking in at one-hundred and-thirty-five minutes.

Naturally, this has led some to believe the re-release will include an extended cut of the divisive superhero blockbuster, seeing as the theatrical version ran for about one-hundred and twenty minutes. If indeed true, though, it’s highly unlikely this is the much sought after Snyder cut, so don’t get too excited just yet.

From what we can tell, it’s looking more and more likely that this was all just a big misunderstanding, too. Apparently, on the back of the packaging pictured in the listing, the runtime’s still listed at one-hundred and twenty minutes. Therefore, it’s entirely possible that the only thing different about this copy of Justice League might be the artwork.

As a result, look for WB to re-release the entire DCEU – or should I say, Worlds of DC – catalogue, including Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman, to help promote the release of Aquaman, which, after all, would make much more sense.

I mean, putting a new coat of paint over what’s been an abysmal attempt at replicating the MCU is probably in DC and WB’s best interest anyway. What with Aquaman, Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984 gearing up to rebrand the entire operation, distancing Worlds of DC from the DCEU does appear to be the only way to go at this point.

Circling back to Justice League, though, tell us, do you think this is a listing for an extended cut of some sort, or is it just a mistake on Amazon’s part?
