New Report Reveals How Much Time Passes Between Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: Endgame

Yesterday, Disney screened around 10 minutes of Avengers: Endgame footage to members of the press that apparently offered quite a few insights on this month’s release. For one thing, the clips reportedly confirmed just how much time has passed between the end of last year’s Avengers: Infinity War and the start of this month’s sequel. And since we’re going to be discussing this revelation here, be warned that a few spoilers lie ahead.

In what’s believed to be the opening scene of the film, GameSpot reports that Tony Stark is shown recording his message to Pepper Potts, much like we saw in the movie’s first trailer. One part that last December’s preview didn’t include, however, is when Iron Man mentions that he and Nebula have been stranded in space for 22 days. From this claim, we can surmise that Endgame picks things up 3 weeks and 1 day after the genocidal conclusion of Infinity War.

22 days isn’t a lot of time to process and move on from the demise of half the universe’s population, making the gloomy tone of the Endgame trailers and TV spots all too natural. That being said, there’s plenty of reason to believe that the upcoming flick won’t just be confined to one specific period in the MCU timeline. For one thing, various reports have suggested that the film might feature a bigger time jump later on in the story, but more importantly, it’s long been a popular prediction that Marvel’s Phase 3 finale will see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes journey into the past.

The evidence for this claim is certainly piling up, but you can see for yourself if the theorists have it right when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
