New Video Explains What The Avengers’ Endgame Plan May Be

While the fans have practically picked the first Avengers: Endgame trailer clean for clues, the theories formed from the footage continue to find new variations, and in a recent video from Marvel Fanverse, an ambitious attempt is made to tie much of the speculation together into a single overarching prediction.

Like many a theory before it, the video singles out Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and Iron Man as three of the key players in the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, the latter two of whom look to be in need of rescuing in the film’s early passages. In Tony Stark’s case, it’s speculated that Captain America and Black Widow will track the message he’s heard recording in the trailer and save him from his drift through space. But however Robert Downey Jr.’s character makes it back to Earth, the theory goes that the team will need his technology-oriented mind to help carry out their new plan.

To elaborate, the video draws on the old prediction that Ghost will be the one to rescue Ant-Man from the Quantum Realm, with her arrival perhaps also bringing Ant-Man and the Wasp supporting player Bill Foster into the mix. From here, the theory brings in the popular notion that the time vortexes found in the Quantum Realm will allow the team to journey back into the past.

As for how Captain Marvel fits into all of this, Marvel Fanverse suggests that Ant-Man may find some way of sending a message to Carol Danvers in 1995 – around the time of her solo debut – warning her about the danger to come. Brie Larson’s heroine could then spend the next couple of decades journeying the cosmos searching for some way of preparing for the impending Decimation so that she’s good and ready when Nick Fury pages her. All this tinkering with time and the fabric of existence, however, leads to the emergence of that “even greater threat” teased in previous leaks.

Obviously this all just speculation, and there are likely counterarguments to be made against every part of the theory. Still, we’ve certainly seen less plausible attempts at trying to work out the bigger picture of the upcoming flick, and we’ll find out just how much the video gets right when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
