Cloudflare launched its 1.1.1.1 DNS service earlier year as a resolver that anyone could use free of charge. DNS services are used by internet service providers to resolve a domain name like Google.com into a real IP address for routers and switches to understand. DNS servers provided by ISPs are often slow and unreliable, and Cloudflare promises to speed up your internet with its 1.1.1.1 service. After a successful beta, it’s now arriving on iOS and Android.
