Samsung has announced a new image sensor for mobile phones with a higher resolution than anything comparable on the market. The ISOCELL Bright GW1 is a 64-megapixel sensor that uses the same 0.8μm-sized pixels as Samsung’s current 48-megapixel component, meaning it’ll be a physically larger sensor that can capture more light overall.

As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, the company is releasing a new set of controls that will allow users to see all of the cookies currently stored by the browser and give them the option of blocking any trackers they don’t like. Epson’s new augmented reality glasses can plug into your phone
Epson has a new pair of augmented reality glasses on the market — and while they’re not meant for everyday wear, they’re still supposed to be more convenient than their predecessors. The Moverio BT-30C glasses connect to an Android smartphone or a Windows PC over USB-C, unlike earlier Epson Moverio products, which plugged into a custom Android controller box. They cost $499, and they’ll ship in June of this year.
Moverio is a relatively old augmented reality brand; its BT-100 glasses launched in 2011, before Google Glass or the Microsoft HoloLens. Avengers: Endgame Directors Explain Why Cap Chose Sam And Not Bucky
By the closing scenes of Avengers: Endgame, it became pretty clear that Steve Rogers’ superhero days were over, but in the movie’s final minutes, we see him pass on the Captain America mantel to his buddy Sam Wilson. Though this likely put a smile on the face of those who were pushing for Falcon to inherit the title, it’s probably safe to say that at least as many were hoping that Bucky Barnes would be next to carry the shield.
If you read the comics, you’ll know that there have been multiple people to have wielded the shield in recent years, and given that both Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson have taken the gig, it could’ve gone either way for their live action counterparts in Endgame. So, why did the Russos choose Sam over Bucky then?
Well, that’s a good question, and in a recent interview, the directors explained their decision as follows:
“Cap and Bucky are brothers but you know what’s interesting about them is they’re very different people and I think that Bucky always has the ability to have his mind corrupted, it can always be taken over by someone else. That hasn’t been resolved for him and Sam has his free will and I think that Sam also had a similar ethic as Cap as far as service goes in the military.”

Continuing on, the pair said:
“Sam still retains that spirit of service to the community and he lives in that circle very clearly in the movies. Comic books and movies are very different and our interpretation of the characters if you’ve been following the movies are very different from what the books are so as it stands in these films, Bucky is still a damaged character who I think feels like he doesn’t want the shield and I think that ultimately Sam is a character with free will who is the closest in morality to what Cap was and Cap believes he deserves it.”
Fair enough, and while Avengers: Endgame finished off with Steve giving up the Captain America persona, it still left the studio with some potential avenues with which to continue the character’s story, thanks to the notion of the alternate timelines and all that. Nonetheless, the next Captain America we see on our screens will probably be the Sam Wilson version, and we’ll find out how he fares in the role when the Falcon and Winter Soldier TV show hits Disney Plus.
That is, unless it’s a prequel. If that’s the case, then we imagine it’ll be a few years yet before we see Sam take on the mantle of Captain America.

Avengers: Endgame Directors Say Cap Was Always Able To Lift Mjolnir
The final battle of Avengers: Endgame was basically one huge hit of fan service, with co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo stuffing it with so many awesome moments that had fans jumping for joy. Be it the heroes all coming through the portals, that all-female team-up scene or Cap finally saying the phrase “Avengers assemble,” it had it all.
Perhaps the most surprising moment though was when Steve Rogers finally proved himself worthy and was able to wield Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. Sure, he got a squeak out of it back in Avengers: Age of Ultron but here, Cap had complete command of the weapon and used it to summon lightning to zap Thanos.
According to the film’s directors, though, Rogers was always able to hold Mjolnir, even back in Ultron. Yup, that’s right, according to Joe and Anthony, Cap’s been worthy this whole time.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast recently, the brothers were asked: ““Why in your heads was [Captain America] not able to wield the hammer until this moment?” To that, they gave an interesting answer, saying: “In our heads, he was [always] able to wield it.”
As Anthony explains, it all goes back to that moment in Age of Ultron, with the director stating:
“He didn’t know that until that moment in Ultron when he tried to pick it up, but Cap’s sense of character and his sort of humility and sort of out of deference to Thor’s ego, Cap in that moment realizing he can move the hammer, decides not to.”
Interesting, and though it was a shame we had to wait so long to see Steve finally pick up that damn weapon, we’re happy that the Russos made it happen in Avengers: Endgame. As we mentioned above, it was a truly great moment and one of the film’s many, many highlights. One that we can’t wait to watch over and over again once the pic hits home video later this summer.

Avengers: Endgame Director Confirms An Important Gay Character’s Coming To The MCU Soon
As well as everything else it did, Avengers: Endgame also broke new ground by featuring the MCU’s first ever openly gay character. During the scene which sees Steve Rogers leading a support group for the survivors of the Snap, an unnamed man played by co-director Joe Russo talks about going on his first date in five years, with it casually mentioned that this date was with another man.
The moment has received a mixed response from fans, with some applauding the Russos for finally doing what the previous 21 films never did while others think the minor character was too little at this late stage and doesn’t warrant celebration. Whatever side of the argument you fall on, it can only be good news that Joe Russo has now confirmed another gay character is coming to the MCU. And this one’s bound to be more significant, as the director expects Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to make an official announcement about it soon.
“There is a gay character coming up in one of their films. I think Kevin [Feige] will make that announcement, I’m sure, pretty soon.”

Those keeping up with their MCU news will know that Russo must be talking about the lead of The Eternals, Chloe Zhao’s film starring Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden. We’ve heard that Marvel’s looking for a gay actor of Asian descent to play the franchise’s first LGBT lead character, and while Russo’s cameo was a step in the right direction, this is much more what the fans are calling out for. Thankfully, it sounds like we might get additional info on the character in a short while.
We hope that Russo’s comment about a single gay character coming to the franchise soon doesn’t just mean that this Eternals lead is the extent of Marvel’s plans for LGBT representation in the MCU, though. After all, Feige has promised on multiple occasions that diversity is the name of the game post-Avengers: Endgame, so let’s hope he follows through on that.
