The Walking Dead Trolls Fans Struggling To Get Avengers: Endgame Tickets

This past Tuesday, Avengers: Endgame tickets finally went on sale, and it wasn’t long before all hell broke loose in a manner that the Twitter account for The Walking Dead could perhaps relate to.

With sites crashing or leaving their visitors on exceptionally long waiting lists to cope with the rush of traffic, booking seats for the opening night of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel was a frantic struggle that the Skybound Entertainment account summed up in a tweet showing Rick Grimes navigating through a crowd of zombies.

Despite ticketing sites suffering a few technical difficulties, the first day of Endgame ticket sales proved hugely successful. On Fandango, for instance, Anthony and Joe Russo’s upcoming film managed to smash the 24-hour pre-sales record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens in a mere six hours.

Needless to say, these early sales bode very well for the movie’s opening weekend. While more conservative projections have the pic debuting domestically in the $200-250 million range, a recent report from Deadline argued that Endgame has a good chance of surpassing $260 million, and may even come close to the $300 million mark.

Until we find out the movie’s real opening weekend figure though, Disney will be pulling out all the stops to get the public even more pumped for the impending release. With the film’s press tour officially underway, the cast and crew will be traveling to the like of China and the UK in the coming weeks, while Marvel presumably continues its steady stream of TV spots and other promotional material. After that, you can judge for yourself if Avengers: Endgame is worth all the hype when it arrives in theaters on April 26th.

In recent years, smartphone manufacturers have been implementing advanced features for users to secure their devices, using fingerprint readers, face mapping, and even sensors that map out the blood veins in the palm of your hand. But there are still ways to get around such measures, and one user found that he could fool the in-display fingerprint reader on his Samsung Galaxy S10 with a 3D print of his fingerprint.

In a post on Imgur, user darkshark outlined his project: he took a picture of his fingerprint on a wineglass, processed it in Photoshop, and made a model using 3ds Max that allowed him to extrude the lines in the picture into a 3D version. Avengers: Endgame Magazine May Tease Another Surprising Cameo

The cast list of Avengers: Endgame is sort of the opposite of Avengers: Infinity War, which sold itself as bringing together pretty much every hero in the MCU for the first time. This movie, on the other hand, has shrunk the central batch of characters down to the original Avengers plus a few faithful allies. However, there are bound to be a lot of welcome cameo roles as the story progresses. But could Adam Warlock be among them?

Fans have long theorized that the character, who played such an important role in the comics book Infinity Gauntlet saga, could appear in the film but we’ve been told not to expect him. Intriguingly, though, a new Endgame magazine might suggest otherwise. Birth.Movies.Death’s commemorative mag on the movie is up for sale on Forbidden Planet, with a few pages available to browse.

One double-page spread captures Adam’s cocoon, as introduced in a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 post-credits scene, labelling him “The Golden Child.” Seeing as a couple of pages are dedicated to this character who’s never actually appeared before, does that mean Birth.Movies.Death know something we don’t and are preparing us for an Adam cameo?

If you ask us, it’s probably more likely that Warlock’s cocoon is just featured as part of the magazine’s look-back at key moments in the MCU over the years. Something the Adam tease in Guardians 2 will likely turn out to be when he eventually makes his debut. That’ll probably happen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, though James Gunn wasn’t sure on that last time he talked about it.

Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo certainly don’t seem that interested in using him though, as they have previously said that Adam was cut from Infinity War as they wanted to mostly tell a new story not slavishly adapt the comic book arc. This could have been a clever misdirect on their part, but we’ll take their words at face value for now.

Either way, though, we’ll know soon enough, as Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.

Shazam! Star Zachary Levi’s Glad Marvel Killed Him Off In Thor: Ragnarok

Zachary Levi made his DCEU debut in Shazam! this week and it’s fair to say that the film has gone over pretty well so far both with critics and at the box office, but the actor isn’t exactly new to superhero cinema. You may have forgotten, but Levi actually had a two-pic run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a member of the Warriors Three in the Thor trilogy, and though his character Fandral never really got his standout moment in the saga before being killed off, the former Chuck star doesn’t seem to mind.

While Levi saw potential in the role, and was honored to be part of the MCU, he doesn’t hold any ill will towards Marvel for killing him off. Speaking on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he said the following:

“I was very honored to be part of that Thor franchise and I played Fandral the Dashing, which was very fun,” the 38-year-old actor expressed. “We had a bit to do in those movies but then we were all kind of ceremoniously slaughtered by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok. I didn’t even have a line in that movie. That’s how fast I died – but if you’re going to die, die at the hands of Cate Blanchett.”

Of course, the bright side of Levi being killed off is that Fandral’s death freed him up to hop on over to the DCEU, where he managed to land a much meatier role. In fact, if you ask the actor, he wouldn’t change a single thing about how his time in the MCU played out.

“That was really awesome, although it was kind of a bummer when I died in that franchise because I thought maybe that was my token,” Zachary continued. “I played it, I got a great spin on the wheel, I made it on the board – but I didn’t have that much to do. The truth is I wouldn’t change it at all. If I hadn’t died there, I would not have been able to be reborn in the DC Universe and be given this incredible opportunity to bring this incredible character to life. A character that has been around for 80 years and that I think is genuinely unique in that it’s a boy – it’s the kid in all of us.”

So, all things considered, it sounds like getting the boot from the Marvel Cinematic Universe worked out pretty well for Zachary Levi in the end, and though his future in the DCEU after Shazam! is still unclear, it’s looking almost certain at this point that the actor will get to reprise his role again down the road – be it in a proper sequel or perhaps even in another hero’s movie.

Avengers: Endgame Stars Kickoff Press Tour With Awesome Photoshoot

To mark the start of the Avengers: Endgame press tour, Chris Hemsworth has taken to Instagram to share a few photos of himself alongside a handful of familiar faces.

Several of the newly shared pics show Hemsworth reunited in Los Angeles with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo. Along with Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner, these four stars are expected to be the focus of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, which is also widely predicted to be the swan song for multiple Phase 1 heroes.

For Brie Larson, meanwhile, things are only just getting started. The Captain Marvel star shows up in more than one of Hemsworth’s pics, next to the likes of War Machine actor Don Cheadle and Paul Rudd of Ant-Man fame, and is expected to take the lead in the Marvel franchise once her Phase 1 peers have made their exits.

The Endgame press tour is set to take the cast to various parts of the world, including the UK and China, but for the next week, much of the gang will be staying in LA for a series of promotional events. Jimmy Kimmel Live!, for example, will be hosting Marvel stars every day from Monday to Thursday, starting with Downey Jr., Johansson, Rudd and Hemsworth on tomorrow’s show.

Of course, at this point, Disney could cease marketing for Endgame and the feature would still open to a huge response later this month.
