Avengers 4 Trailer Rumored To Debut This Friday

We’re almost there, guys! For a while now, it’s been rumored that the long-awaited first trailer for Avengers 4 would be arriving later this month, and today, some new chatter has sprung up which suggests that it’s going to be here in just a few days. Specifically, November 23rd aka this Friday.

The date comes from not one but two folks who’ve often proved to have a good track record in the past. First, SuperBroMovies’ Daniel R reported that “a very reliable source” has informed him that it’s looking like the trailer will land this Friday, though he did stress that the intel’s “unconfirmed” at present.

What’s more, MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad also spoke up on the matter. “There are whispers of the number 23 being spread around,” he told his Twitter followers. Like Daniel, though, he maintained that these “whispers” are completely unconfirmed at this time.

If you think we should just ignore these claims, Conrad made the good point that dropping the trailer on Black Friday would make sense for Marvel. It’s even been tested by Disney before, with Star Wars: The Force Awakens unleashing its similarly much-anticipated first preview on Black Friday back in 2014.

I speculated on the MCU CosmicCast this past Saturday that I wouldn’t be shocked if something were to happen on Black Friday (like with TFA) and now there are whispers that there could be something happening, although those whispers are not confirmed at all.

That said, these are just whispers for now and maybe we shouldn’t get too excited. After all, many other reports have pointed to the trailer landing next Wednesday, November 28th. This date would also match up with Avengers: Infinity War, whose own first trailer debuted on November 29th. Still, it’s possible that Marvel’s plans have changed recently and they decided it’d be more beneficial to bring its release forward.

As well as giving us our first glimpse at the action, the trailer is also expected to at last reveal the actual title of Avengers 4. All signs are pointing at that being Avengers: Annihilation, but at this stage, there’s really no telling what surprises Marvel may have in store for us. Watch The Full Disney Princess Scene From Ralph Breaks The Internet

Ralph Breaks the Internet is just a couple of days away from reaching cinemas, and it’s set to bring a plethora of familiar pop culture figures with it, from the Star Wars Stormtroopers to Buzz Lightyear. But the cameos that have really dominated the hype for this Wreck-It-Ralph sequel are those of the Disney princesses.

Vanellope’s scene with this all-star line-up has worked its way into nearly every trailer for the animated film, but courtesy of USA Today, we now have access to the full clip, moving from the princesses’ initial hostility towards Sarah Silverman’s character, to their eventual bonding over common tropes.

A few weeks ago, writer Pamela Ribon reflected on this satirical sequence, recalling how she wanted to include a scene of “Disney poking a little fun at itself.” Of course, in early script stages, you could argue that it was less a case of Disney poking fun at itself than Ribon poking fun at Disney, and so the scribe was a little worried that the studio wouldn’t be too pleased with her mocking all these cherished characters, telling ComicBook.com:

“So I wrote the scene, and I read it. And then I had a panic attack, and I laid down on the floor. And I was like, ‘Well I’m either going to be fired or this might be a big deal.’”

Evidently, the sequence made its way into the movie, and it sounds like this isn’t the only example of the film satirizing the legacy of its own studio, with many critics already praising the feature for this subversive streak. Interestingly, though princesses are fair game, co-director Rich Moore mentioned last month how the pic was originally going to include a jab at Kylo Ren from the Star Wars movies, likening Adam Driver’s villain to a spoiled child. In the eyes of Lucasfilm, however, this joke was deemed a step too far and the moment was ultimately taken out.

Nonetheless, you can expect plenty more crossovers when Ralph Breaks the Internet arrives in cinemas on November 21st.

Avengers: Infinity War Is Coming To Netflix Next Month

Avengers: Infinity War, one of 2018’s most accomplished movies and the biggest cinematic endeavor in Marvel Studios history, is coming to Netflix next month.

Over on Twitter, the online giant revealed that Infinity War will be available to stream from December 25th – just in time for the Christmas holidays. It’s unclear as yet if this will be exclusive to those in the United States, though we imagine Netflix will inform its users sooner rather than later with regards to Infinity War‘s (potential) international rollout.

This announcement comes in good time, too, as we’re seemingly on the verge of catching our very first peek at Avengers 4, the so-far untitled sequel to Infinity War. Suffice it to say, Marvel’s 2019 mash-up has been shackled with great expectations, but if the MCU’s track record is any indication, fans can feel pretty confident as we approach May 3rd, 2019.

December 25th; mark the calendar! Well, not that you need to, necessarily, but this is just another reason to get excited for Christmas Day and all the Marvel joy it’ll bring. Indeed, curious Netflix subscribers are beginning to wonder whether the arrival of Thanos will eradicate half of all content on the service – perfectly balanced, as all things should be. We joke, of course, but it’ll be good to see Marvel Studios’ greatest feat (so far) among the growing Netflix roster.

You’ve likely seen it 10 times already, but from December 25th, Avengers: Infinity War will be available to view via Netflix, ensuring you have plenty of MCU content to chew over in the build-up to Captain Marvel – not to mention that little-known Marvel sequel known only as Avengers 4… for now.

Stan Lee’s Team Fires Back At Bill Maher For Disgusting Comments

Leave it to über-contrarian Bill Maher to post insensitive comments about the loss of Stan Lee.

This past weekend, the American TV host took to his own blog to pen a scathing open letter on “adulting” and generally belittle the medium of comic books. To make matters worse, Maher’s high-brow ramblings even went so far as to suggest that the sheer popularity of comics, as an entertainment medium, is part of the reason why Trump got elected. His words, not ours.

Now, Stan Lee’s team have issued an impassioned response to Bill Maher and his gross, untimely rant, stating that while he’s very much entitled to his opinion, disregarding Lee’s entire lifework only undermines Marvel’s ‘Main Man,’ and Maher should be using his massive platform to inspire good in others, not to stoke controversy soon after the death of an industry titan.

Mr. Maher: Comic books, like all literature, are storytelling devices. When written well by great creators such as Stan Lee, they make us feel, make us think and teach us lessons that hopefully make us better human beings. One lesson Stan taught so many of us was tolerance and respect, and thanks to that message, we are grateful that we can say you have a right to your opinion that comics are childish and unsophisticated. Many said the same about Dickens, Steinbeck, Melville and even Shakespeare.

But to say that Stan merely inspired people to “watch a movie” is in our opinion frankly disgusting. Countless people can attest to how Stan inspired them to read, taught them that the world is not made up of absolutes, that heroes can have flaws and even villains can show humanity within their souls. He gave us the X-Men, Black Panther, Spider-Man and many other heroes and stories that offered hope to those who felt different and bullied while inspiring countless to be creative and dream of great things to come.

Stan Lee sadly passed away last Monday, prompting a mass outpouring of support and tributes from the four corners of the Internet. His immense legacy will live on, of course, and moviegoers can look forward to another few cameo appearances (read: Avengers 4 and Ralph Breaks the Internet) in the coming weeks and months.

Here’s What Robert Downey Jr. Would Look Like As Batman

Following 10 years of Marvel blockbusters and instantly quotable one-liners (“we have a Hulk”), Robert Downey Jr. has truly cemented his place as the beating heart of the MCU.

For many, he is Tony Stark, and it’s often difficult to distinguish where Iron Man ends and Robert Downey Jr. begins. It’s a credit to Marvel’s casting department, then, that film fans soon fell in love with RDJ’s portrayal of Stark, a character who has since graduated to become the franchise’s brooding father figure (see: Spider-Man: Homecoming), as opposed to its reckless wildcard.

But what if things panned out differently? What if Robert Downey Jr. was elected to become the poster child for Hollywood’s other major comic book franchise – Worlds of DC? That alternate reality is projected onto the following canvas, thanks to some deft work by the inimitable Boss Logic.

From an artistic standpoint, it’s another incredible piece from Boss Logic, but given how well suited Robert Downey Jr. is to the role of Tony Stark, it’s hard to imagine him donning the cape and cowl as Gotham’s Dark Knight. For one, he’d have to tone down that sarcastic charm that Iron Man is known for, all the while adopting a gruff, hardened exterior so as to properly capture the spirit of Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego. And, frankly, that doesn’t sound very appealing.

Back in the realm of reality, though, and RDJ is gearing up for what will undoubtedly be the most-talked-about comic book movie event of 2019 – Avengers 4. Word is the first teaser trailer will be with us next week (November 28th, perhaps?), so keep your peepers peeled.
