In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Evans revealed that he’s already seen the first hour of Avengers: Endgame, before saying that while watching it, he “choked up like three times.” When the interviewer asked if this was because Steve Rogers meets his maker in the film, the actor responded with a series of jokes about Cap’s demise, saying that it was hard seeing his own death on screen and that the hero’s funeral takes up an hour of Endgame‘s runtime.
And though he clearly wasn’t being serious at the time, it’s still widely expected that Captain America might be one of the major deaths in the upcoming sequel. But even if he makes it through alive, it seems as if there’ll still be some big things in store for the character, one of which Evans almost spoiled earlier today.
Talking at the Avengers: Endgame press conference, the actor began to speak about what’s in store for the beloved hero before co-director Joe Russo cut him off, fearful that he may be about to say something he shouldn’t. Following that, the conversation turned into a fight over Paul Rudd’s birthday, and you can see all the shenanigans for yourself down below.

While it’s unclear what exactly Evans was about to say, as we mentioned above, it’s widely predicted that Cap’s going to meet a tragic end in the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. That being said, he certainly isn’t the only one that fans are currently worried about. Steve Rogers’ Phase 1 buddies Iron Man and Thor, for instance, have both been around for a while, too, and could easily bow out alongside Captain America.
In any case, we’ll soon find out what surprises Avengers: Endgame has in store for us, as it makes its way into theaters later this month, on April 26th.
