Marvel Reportedly Wants Kang The Conqueror In The MCU ASAP

We don’t know exactly how Avengers: Endgame is going to go down, but we’re pretty sure we can safely say that by the end of the movie, the threat of Thanos will have been dealt with once and for all. The Mad Titan has been the overarching antagonist of the franchise since 2012 so, with him likely gone, the MCU will need to inject some new villainous blood into the universe to keep Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on their toes.

Luckily for Marvel, they’re about to get their hands on a whole new set of characters thanks to the Disney/Fox deal. And we might just know which villain they’re most eager to introduce. And nope, it’s neither Galactus or Doctor Doom.

We Got This Covered has been informed by one of our sources that the studio wants none other than Kang the Conqueror in the MCU as soon as possible. According to what we’ve heard, there are two places the time-traveling miscreant could show up first. Either a Fantastic Four reboot – something not confirmed at this point but heavily suspected – or the Young Avengers movie, which we previously reported is in the works over at Marvel Studios.

Anyone familiar with Kang will understand why these two movies would be the best routes to introduce him to audiences. The supervillain’s most known as a foe of Marvel’s First Family and with his real name being Nathaniel Richards, he’s likely a descendant of Mister Fantastic. Likewise, he has an important role to play in the Young Avengers story as Iron Lad’s really a heroic adolescent version of Kang.

The Fantastic Four are widely assumed to be recast and brought into the MCU, but we’re not sure whether Kevin Feige’s planning yet another reboot movie or to introduce them in a team-up film (like how Spider-Man made his debut in Captain America: Civil War). The Young Avengers movie, meanwhile, is expected to be set up by Avengers: Endgame, so that could be the one that’s out the door first.

Regardless of where he shows up, it definitely sounds like Kang the Conqueror will be in the MCU sooner rather than later and for fans of the character, that can only be a good thing.
