Here’s a little MCU tidbit to clobber those Monday Blues: Marvel’s Black Panther is returning to select theaters next week in honor of Black History Month in North America. And best of all? Tickets are free!
Disney chief Bob Iger made the announcement over on Twitter, confirming that the Ryan Coogler-directed flick, which is currently riding high after its big win at the SAG award ceremony (not to mention that historic Best Picture nod), will return to theaters on Friday, February 1st and run through until February 7th, meaning if you’re among the few who have yet to see Black Panther with your own two eyes, now is as good a time as any to visit Wakanda.
The MCU film is a real visual treat, too, so you’d be foolish to miss out on this opportunity to see Ryan Coogler’s achievement on the big screen as it was intended: big and loud.
Today we are excited to announce #BlackPanther will return to the big screen to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth from Feb 1-7 at participating AMC theaters. Tickets are free! We will also donate $1.5M to @UNCF to make the dream of higher education a reality for more students.

And you know what that means, don’t you? February will herald the beginning of a red-hot streak for Marvel Studios, what with Avengers: Endgame (April 26th), Captain Marvel (March 8th) and now Black Panther all expected to release (or re-release, as is the case with Ryan Coogler’s beloved blockbuster) within the space of three months. Spring is gonna’ be stacked as far as the MCU is concerned.
It’s perhaps the perfect finale to Marvel’s Phase 3, with the company now in the process of readying Spider-Man: Far From Home and a brand new era of superhero content – an era in which Carol Danvers will be front and center. And that, dear readers, is exciting in and of itself.
