Watch Mark Ruffalo Spoil Avengers 4 On The Tonight Show

At this point, Mark Ruffalo’s total inability to keep secrets regarding the films he stars in is nothing short of hilarious. I mean, it was due to his and Tom Holland’s blabbermouths that Marvel had to give the actors either only portions of the script or entirely fake scenes for Avengers: Infinity War. Despite this, though, Ruffalo still couldn’t help himself from slipping up and actually, if you can believe it, revealed the devastating ending of the film to the press.

Seriously, we’re not kidding. At D23 back in 2017, the fan favorite actor was doing an interview when he said: “Wait ’til you see this next one. Everybody dies!” Of course, most people assumed he was just joking at the time, but between that and accidentally streaming the first 20 or so minutes of Thor: Ragnarok onto the internet, it’s clear that Mark Ruffalo simply can’t be trusted.

Now, proving once again that you need to be very, very careful with what information you give him, the actor’s gone ahead and spoiled another Marvel film. This time, it’s the much anticipated Avengers 4, and it happened last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he seemingly revealed the title along with some details on a few of the Hulk’s scenes.

Shortly after this, Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo took to Twitter to fire Ruffalo. And while that was clearly just a joke – at least, we hope it was – we can’t be so sure that the actor’s spoiler-filled rant was a joke. I mean, the stuff about the Hulk’s scenes was very likely just Ruffalo having fun, but many believe he accidentally dropped the title of the film having believed it was already announced.

Then again, this could all be just one big troll by Marvel, as they know how desperate we are for any morsel of information regarding Avengers 4 – be it the title or something else. Thankfully, it seems like we don’t have much longer to wait before the floodgates open. With the first trailer said to be arriving next month, the studio’s no doubt gearing up to begin the promotional campaign and once it gets underway in earnest, we’ll be sure to let you know.
