In the filing for product model S17, Sonos directly states that it’s “a high-performance wireless speaker and part of the Sonos sound system. The device’s primary function will be for streaming with Wi-Fi, but also features Bluetooth audio streaming and Bluetooth Low Energy, used for simplified setup.” (Emphasis added by The Verge.) No other previous Sonos speaker has supported Bluetooth music playback, though the Sonos One includes BLE for the same reason of easier setup.

Batgirl Will Likely Feature The DCEU’s First Transgender Character
When it comes to the long-gestating Batgirl movie, I’m not sure what to say about it other than it probably stands a better chance of seeing the light of day than Nightwing. Even though Joss Whedon is out as director, word got out this week that the hunt is back on, so hopefully that void is filled before long.
Based on what little information we’ve had to go on, I’ve surmised that this movie will be more in line with Batgirl comic books published in recent years – and our source has seemingly proven me correct. You see, they’ve just informed us that the flick will feature the DC Extended Universe’s first transgender character.
Now, before you get your tights in a twist, know that the studio isn’t making Barbara Gordon transgender. If you begin complaining about that, then it’ll make it easier for everyone on Facebook and Twitter to deduce who didn’t actually read the article. Instead, we’re talking about Alysia Yeoh making the leap from printed page to live action.
For those unfamiliar, Alysia is a close friend and roommate of Barbara’s in the comics, so I’d imagine that she likewise be just that on the silver screen. As such, it’s probably safe to say that the “Burnside” era of tales will probably lend considerable inspiration on the screenplay. Well, at least the current iteration. The winds do shift every day in Burbank.
What’s also worth mentioning is that Alysia took on a more proactive role in the Bombshells universe, even joining the group known as “the Batgirls.” Though I highly doubt that’ll inform this movie, you never know which books are being researched in Tinseltown.
If you’ve been following along with other DCEU news, then you know LGBT representation is about to make a big impact on the brand. In next year’s Birds of Prey blockbuster alone, Rene Montoya is expected to be in a lesbian relationship much like her comic book counterpart and the villainous Black Mask is likewise gay. Don’t forget, we broke both those stories, and the latter was swiftly confirmed by other outlets.

Kevin Feige Teases Decapitated Captain America Concept Art From Avengers: Endgame
As if it wasn’t crazy enough that we almost got to see a decapitated Captain America in Avengers: Endgame, now Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has teased that concept art from the abandoned scene might exist. And we all know what that means – we’re probably going to see a pretty harrowing image of Cap’s head on Twitter. And soon.
During a live Q&A recently held by Empire Magazine between Feige and some of their lucky subscribers, the ideas of a decapitated Steve Rogers and 2023 Thanos sitting on a throne of skulls were thrown around. It sounds like Endgame could have taken a much darker turn, even more so than what we saw.
The Russo Brothers revealed at this year’s SDCC that there had been much discussion about including the infamous comic book scene in the final installment of the Infinity War saga. In the end, however, it was decided that it would be too complicated. Which is great, considering the amount of debate the time traveling in the movie has already caused.
But just how close did the gory scene come to being shot? Very close, according to the MCU boss. In Feige’s words:
“I think it ended up in a set of pages at one point in the script. There might be a piece of concept art somewhere with it.”
As morbid as it sounds, seeing Cap watch as Thanos returned from the future and tossed his severed head at his own feet could have been amazing. Mostly because it meant our current version of the hero was still breathing. No doubt, the scene would’ve received a bigger audience reaction than seeing Steve finally wielding Mjolnir.
Another even more complicated idea for Avengers: Endgame was having the heroes return to 2023 after the time heist, only to be greeted by Thanos on a throne of skulls and bones. The Mad Titan would then toss Captain America’s head to him like a football. The mind bending madness behind that was too much though, even more than the simple decapitated Cap scene.
