The Pixel 3A and Pixel 3 support the next-generation texting protocol called the Universal Profile for RCS (or Rich Communication Services, or Chat).

After being announced back in 2015, the remake of Final Fantasy VII seems to be finally getting closer. Sony showed off some rare gameplay footage in a State of Play video earlier today, and it’s promised to say more about the game in June — presumably around the E3 gaming conference.
The one-minute trailer shows off a lot of cinematic shots, but we get a little gameplay as well. It looks relatively similar to the gameplay we saw nearly four years ago — although the interface is more detailed and Cloud’s hair looks better (to me, at least). We also get a very quick look at the remake’s version of Sephiroth. The game still doesn’t have a release date, but in the words of the trailer, “the return draws closer.”

Today Ubisoft officially unveiled the latest Tom Clancy release, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. A sequel to 2017’s Wildlands, it’s another realistic military shooter — and another chance for Ubisoft to say that its games are free of politics.
It’s become something of a trend for the French publisher, which makes big-budget action games that feature settings and storylines plucked from the headlines, yet stubbornly refuse to say much of substance despite this. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told The Guardian last year that, instead of making political statements, the company makes games where the goal “is to make people think.”

Philips Hue has been updated today with a new feature that lets you group individual Hue lights and bulbs together as a group — called a “Zone” — making it easier to control larger light setups, via Android Police.
The update is available on iOS and Android starting today, and gives Hue the much-needed option to group multiple bulbs together. Hue lights could previously only control bulbs through the company’s app on an individual basis or for the entire room at once, but Zones will allow for both more granular control as well as for controlling groups of lights that are in different rooms.

Today, Jeff Bezos unveiled the design of his spaceflight company’s lunar lander, the Blue Moon, which can take scientific payloads — and eventually humans — to the surface of the Moon. Bezos said that his company, Blue Origin, has been working on the design for the lander for the last three years.

Samsung plans to announce a new release date for its stricken Galaxy Fold smartphone soon, according to The Korea Herald. Co-CEO DJ Koh, who is responsible for Samsung’s mobile business, told the newspaper that the company “has reviewed the defect caused from substances [that entered the device], and we will reach a conclusion today or tomorrow [on the launch].”
That language suggests the company may have found a solution to the problem encountered by our own Dieter Bohn, whose Galaxy Fold review unit developed a bump under the screen after just a day of use. Marvel Announces Captain Marvel Blu-Ray With New Promo
Captain Marvel silenced the naysayers by becoming a huge success and breaking through the billion-dollar mark at the box office. Plus, Carol Danvers might not have featured in Avengers: Endgame that much, but her brief but badass one-on-one fight with Thanos was one of the coolest moments of the movie. Very soon though we’ll be able to relive her debut adventure at our leisure, as Marvel Studios have just dropped a promo trailer teasing the home video release.
Set for a digital debut on May 28th with physical formats following a week later on June 11th, the home editions look to come with an impressive amount of special features, with the promo teasing extensive extended and deleted scenes (hopefully including the Ronan the Accuser scene), a blooper reel and an “Origin of Nick Fury” feature.
That last one is very interesting, as it could be a dedicated special effects feature showing the technical wizardry that went into de-ageing Samuel L. Jackson for the movie, or it could be a unique window into the history of the MCU. It’d be impressive if it was the latter, as the CGI make-up job for Jackson can’t come cheap.
It also seems that at least some of the physical releases (specifically, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray) will come with a 40-page book outlining the making of the movie, which should be packed with concept art, production photos and interviews with the creative minds behind it. In addition to that, Best Buy are offering a very nice looking Steelbook edition, which will surely please hardcore fans.
But, with Endgame having wrapped up a decade of stories, might it be possible that we’ll see a complete MCU boxset running from 2008’s Iron Man through to the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home in time for Christmas? That’d be a whopping 23 movie set and would presumably come with a hefty price tag, but I’d definitely love to have every single film in one place to enjoy at my leisure.
